General Chat / Trailer Park Boys Live?
« Last post by TailerLarry on Nov 11, 2017, 08:10 PM »
So there's a live trailer park boys show coming to my city. I love the show personally but have never been to a live one and the price tag is a little steep. Anyone been to one of these? is it worth it?

Julian and Bubbles do have a brother.. Jubbs the lost Trailer park boy. Search YouTube for Jubbs. Might have to scroll a bit
Yes OLS came out in 98, the first Trailer Park Boys movie, the b & w one, came out in 99.  OLS was more of a short film than a movie.  JP and Robb don't play Julian and Ricky, rather two other blokes.  John Dunsworth plays a character called Mr.  Lahey but there are no trailer parks involved.  The character JD played was transformed into the park supervisor in the trailer park.

"The Lost Boys".

Any movie that stars Jason Patric and Kiefer Sutherland is A-OK in my book.  Hubba, hubba.

So this was the first movie? even before that black and white one where ricky and julian are guns for hire, and bubbles is a soundman?
I see there was a new one today.  I haven't listened to it yet though.

the 16th was the last day they did one of these and that was 2 weeks ago. they normally do one every week. is it something to do with john dunsworth not being around anymore? or something else?
Just watched it, very interesting!  I am pretty sure the place where they were eating, and later dancing was The Economy Shoe Shop, a popular spot on Argyle St which it turns out the boys now own!  You can read about the bar here,12167.0.html

So the boys have been busy expanding their ventures.  If you are in Halifax you can drop by their bars!

BTW I tried their beer, it is pretty decent.

As part of Swearnet State of the Union the boys have included the short film as a tribute to John Dunsworth.  This was the genesis of Mr. Lahey, and was shot in 1998 even before TPB even existed!  Thanks boys!
