Why did Season 6 only have 6 episodes?

Because they had to film the movie and Season 6 that summer, they did not have the time to make more episodes.

For a list and summary of previous episodes check here:

http://www.showcase.ca/tpb/season7.aspx (http://www.showcase.ca/tpb/season7.aspx)

(If you scroll over Episode Guide on the left you get a list of other seasons than just season 7).

Why weren't Cory and Trevor in season 7?

Cory and Michael decided to move on and were kind enough to explain their reasoning to us here at the Org

Mj's thread is here

http://www.trailerparkboys.org/forums/index.php?topic=2926.0 (http://www.trailerparkboys.org/forums/index.php?topic=2926.0)

Cory's thread is here

http://www.trailerparkboys.org/forums/index.php?topic=4916.0 (http://www.trailerparkboys.org/forums/index.php?topic=4916.0)

Again thanks guys and we wish you the best in your future endeavors.

In the movie what is the song that plays when Ricky, Julian and Bubbles enter the 'Gentlemen's Club' for the first time?  Its not on the soundtrack.

The song is "(It )Doesn't really matter" by Canadian group Platinum Blonde.  They were big here in the 80's.

The songs on the soundtrack are all Canadian.  More info on the soundtrack can be found here

http://www.trailerparkboys.org/forums/index.php?topic=6185.0 (http://www.trailerparkboys.org/forums/index.php?topic=6185.0)

Check this thread for more songs that were part of the movie soundtrack but did not make it onto the soundtrack CD

Who is Reveen?

Peter Reveen, the internationally renowned theatrical hypnotist. Reveen had been quite active and knowledgeable in the world of magic and had produced and starred in his own widely acclaimed illusion shows.
(From: http://www.lanceburton.com/public/bio.php?id=3 (http://www.lanceburton.com/public/bio.php?id=3))

Why do people call Ricky Reveen?

The same hairdo :).  Reveen put on many shows in the Maritimes while the TPB were growing up.  TV commercials would often air for "The man they call Reveen."

Is Sunnyvale a real place?

No.

Where is the trailer park?

The show was shot in a real trailer park the first four seasons.

Season 1 was filmed in Sackville.
Season 2 was filmed in Dartmouth, by the Tuft's Cove Generating Station
(You can often see the 3 red and white stacks in the background)
Season 3 was filmed in Timberlea
Season 4 was filmed in Eastern Passage

All four of these were existing trailer parks in the Halifax-Dartmouth area of Nova Scotia, an East coast province of Canada.

For Season 5 and beyond they bought a plot of land and brought in some trailers to use as their own "trailer park" set.  It is located in Cole Harbour, just outside of Dartmouth.  Cole Harbour is where Mike Clattenburg, JP Tremblay and Robb Wells are from.  It is also the hometown of the captain of the Stanley Cup champions Pittsburgh Penguins Sidney Crosby. The set is closed to the public.  Update...the trailers are now gone from the set.
TPB #3 was a trailer park in Harrietsfield.
Season 8 and 9 are using a park in Truro, NS.

Who is that guy that yells "What in the Fuck"

That is the voice of Mike Smith (Bubbles).  They first recorded him screaming that in the original TPB movie, where he played the sound man that carried the boom mike, and have used that track throughout the show.  In season 4 ep 2 they introduced him as the character called Donnie, but Ricky called him Danny (he is Ricky remember).  Donnie can he be heard screaming various hilarious things in the background throughout the show.

Where can I find the short film "One Last Shot"

One Last Shot is not available for purchase, nor can it be downloaded, hopefully it will be made available sometime in the future.

*****UPDATE One Last Shot can be seen on Swearnet, the State of the Union that came out on Oct 27, 2017  *******

http://www.trailerparkboys.org/forums/index.php?topic=329.0 (http://www.trailerparkboys.org/forums/index.php?topic=329.0)

The original black & white movie that inspired the showTrailer Park Boys and named Trailer Park Boys is not available on DVD yet either.  It can be downloaded at such places as www.digitaldistractions.org (http://www.digitaldistractions.org), just do a search for Trailer Park Boys.

Episodes can also downloaded from such places as www.digitaldistractions.org (http://www.digitaldistractions.org)

Where can I find the short film The Cart Boy

It's on disk # 2 of the Season 1-2 dvd set.  Just maneuver your cursor until you can click on the shopping cart on the special features menu and there you will find the cart boy.  It was something filmed after the original movie and before the TV series.  It was the first time we saw the Bubbles character although in that short he was not called Bubbles and JP and Robb played different characters as well.

What is the make and the year of the Shitmobile and Lahey's car?

If you listen to the commentary on the DVD, S1 E3, the very first commentary, you will hear Clattenburg say that the shitmobile is a 1975 New Yorker. It is actually his car and that they abused it to make it look like that. Lahey's car is a 1977 New Yorker, and is actually owned by Robb Wells.

They got another Yorker for the Christmas episode, and abused that one so that it looked like the shitmobile as well.

What is that song playing in the background when the boys are stoned in Season 6 Episode 6?

That is Any Sense of Time written Mike O'Neill and performed by the Inbreds.

Mike O'Neill is the TPB sound mixer, here is an interesting thread about him and Mike Clattenburg

http://www.trailerparkboys.org/forums/index.php?topic=4464.0 (http://www.trailerparkboys.org/forums/index.php?topic=4464.0)

Who played the pedal steel tracks in the Christmas special.

Cape Breton blues guitar man John Campbelljohn played the Theme for the Christmas special and Away in a Manger in the church scene.  Campbelljohn couldn't be on the show, he had to play a gig at Bearly's in Halifax.  Dave Chisholm, key grip on the show and also an accomplished musician, filled in and played the pedal steel in the church scene, but Campbelljohn's pre-recorded track is what we hear.

What is Lahey talking about when he mentions "the LC"?

In Nova Scotia liquor and beer is sold by provincially owned stores know as the NSLC, which can stand for the Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation, or as more commonly referred to the Nova Scotia Liquor Commission.

Is the marijuana field they use in season 4 real?

No they shot that in a hemp field in Woodstock New Brunswick.  For more info

For people outside Canada:

Red Green is a Canadian TV show, a parody of another Canadian show called the Red Fisher show, which also was parodied by SCTV with "The Fishin' Musician".  Steve Smith plays Red, a handyman type in a remote lodge.  One of his big shticks is that he is always inventing or improving things like BBQs, and he always uses a shitload of duct tape to tape thing things together.  That is where Bubbles reference that goes something like "I'd like to see that Red Blue Green cocksucker put one of those together with his duct tape comes from".

http://www.cbc.ca/redgreen/ (http://www.cbc.ca/redgreen/)

Mike Bullard had his own late night talk show on Canadian TV.  It didn't receive very good ratings and was dropped by one Network, then picked up by another only to be eventually cancelled.  Before it was cancelled Mike had a chance to have the TPB on the show but he refused, so the boys got a few shots in at him on the show in Season 4.  His show was actually cancelled before Season 4 aired.

TPB was by no means the first great TV show, for recommendations on other Canadian shows check here

http://www.trailerparkboys.org/forums/index.php?topic=1465.0 (http://www.trailerparkboys.org/forums/index.php?topic=1465.0)

Ricky Bubbles and Julian appeared in The Tragically Hip's video for their song The Darkest One.  This can be found on the Season 1-2 DVD.  The lead sing of The Hip is Gord Downie.  Ricky used Gord's name when he was trying to come up with a fake name for Julian as he introduced him to Alex Lifeson after he "borrowed" him.  For information on this great Canadian band ...

Have a question that you don't see here?

There's a good chance the answer was already given in one of the other threads.  Try clicking the Search option found in the row of blue tabs near the top of the forum.  Instructions are given on that page, and there's lots of options.  You can filter your search by posts, topics, subject lines or message text.

If you really want to learn more about the show I strongly recommend you buy the DVDs and listen to the COMMENTARY. It is loaded with interesting info and insights into the making of the show.  The extras on the DVDs are amazing!  You will see some unbelievably funny stuff that didn't make it into the show, well worth the money.

Another good source of background info on the show was the Documentary "Hearts of Dartmouth".  Info on that can be found here...

Hey C-D, thanks for posting that pic, I actually lost my original photoshop file of it!  It's a shame too because I saved it in layers and had always planned on cleaning up the rum tumbler, I think the rim still looks fakey- superimposed.  If you look up Patrick Swayze in Google Image Search you'll eventually run across the original to see what was changed.

I took the goatee directly from a picture of Julian, and used a clone brush to grab the texture and "airbrush" it onto Patrick.  :)

At least I have a copy again! (Hey GD, I think really young people might not know Swayze because he's not getting much high profile work this decade!)  I remember Dirty Dancing REALLY well because it was filmed at a lake about 20 miles (?) from my home, and friends of mine worked on the set as extras- Lake Lure NC.

I've known he is for a while... And I recently saw Donnie Darko and The Outsiders where he played Dali and The Hate Love Guy :S... In Donnie Darko he is very weird and nerdy but in the Outsiders he is dressed like Julian and has the same hair.

I think we should point out to anyone who doesn't know Patrick Swayze that Julian normally looks nothing like him at all, but Patrick sometimes wore a tight black shirt.  Julian really hates being called Patrick Swayze :)

Brings up a good point Shitrockk

For those of you who don't know about the movie "Ghost", there was a cheesy scene with Patrick and Demi Moore where they played the song "Unchained Melody".  That prompted Conky to come up with his own version of the song...

"Oh my Julian, my handsome Julian, Patrick Swayze, you were so fuckin sexy in Roadhouse, fuckin' Dirty Dancin'"

I just want to make it clear I would not be caught dead, pun intended, watching the movie "Ghost".  I did see the clip of that scene, as well as several parodies of it.

I spent about 3 months in Montana and quite a few people there knew who Red Green was. I was REALLY suprised by that actually, since they had heard of him, but not of Nabob coffee. A few times while I was there, I was watching the TV guide channel I would see Red Green on. Unfortunatly no TPB though, I went through withdrawl, especially since I left 2 weeks before the season premier came on.

Bullard though, no one here cared about him, so why would they care south of the border?

I'm just thinking of a few questions that got asked at the Bloor Cinema gig and thought I'd add them to this section...

Is Sunnyvale a real place?

No, Sunnyvale Trailer park is not the name of a real Trailer Park......at least I don't think so? :-k

Who is Steve French? and why did Bubbles name the mountain lion that?

Mike Clattenberg (the director) had a cat named Steve French, so they decided to use it in the show.  Steve French is the name of an adult film star.

In the Christmas special which was set in 1997 Randy isn't a assistant supervisor because Barb brings him to the park to stay at her and Laheys place.... Season 2 which he says that in takes place in 2002 which is only 5 years of living in the park. So is this just fuck up in the plotline???

And 1 more.... When Ricky flips over the cars in The Green Bastard you can hear Danny screaming something, but no matter how hard I try and listen I cannot figure out what he is saying.... Can anyone figure out what the fuck he says? It's driving me nuts.

Yes it is possible that was a fuck up or maybe Lucy was exaggerating and he really wasn't assistant supervisor that long.

I'll take Roger Clemente's answer from this thread…

http://www.trailerparkboys.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2462&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=backshift&start=15

and post it here as well.

Quote from: Roger Clemente

The quote was:

"JESUS H. CHRIST!  I HAFTA WORK BACKSHIFT TONIGHT!"

One of my all-time favorites.

And as we saw in the second post in this thread his name is actually Donnie not Danny.

Who is Steve French? and why did Bubbles name the mountain lion that?

Mike Clattenberg (the director) had a cat named Steve French, so they decided to use it in the show.  I don't know why Mike had a cat name Steve French to begin with though?

They sort of hinted that Mike's cat was named after the porno star.

Yah no kidding

But if you work it out.... if the movie is 1h40m long thats 4 or 5 more episodes, because they are 22min without commercials... so thats not too bad.....but still thats pretty low. I hope they have a little special in the late fall (of 2006), maybe a halloween special :bubs:

I think I'm the only one who likes this 6 episodes idea. I think that if they only have six epidoes there's no filler, you know? Nothing that doesn't need to be there. Sometimes that can ruine a show, book, album, etc... I mean, I trust Mike and the guys. They've done an amazing job so far but... Meh. Just my opinion.

I get your point. This will make it more like the first couple of seasons (for many people the best seasons). But I'm greedy, I WANT MORE! I enjoy the side stories just as much as the main plot (the rocket ship episode in season 5 was hilarious! & the Steve French episode was great too). Oh well. Whatever.

I'm wondering what the source is for the 6 episode idea, is this just being assumed or were people told by cast/crew. Seems silly for a show to go from 6 - 7 - 8 - 8 - 10 - 6. Also the movie is financed seperately from the show, so I doubt it's a money thing.

Yes =mj= told me it was only 6 episodes this year.  Money has nothing to do with it, it is the timing factor.  They always shoot the episodes during the summer, this summer they are shooting the movie.  They have to finish the movie and then take a break.  It probably won't be until September that they start shooting season 6.  It is a very grueling schedule for the cast and crew.

Although most film shoots usually run significantly longer than the Season 6 shoot and the film combined, most of the cast and crew are doing this on their vacation, essentially. They've all got full time jobs or other commitments. (This is what I told myself when I wanted to complain) We really should applaud them for the time they give us. As fun as shooting sounds, it is very, very tough work.

I would think that the big 3, don't. They'de be wrapped up with the show year round, but the rest of the cast does. Pat Roach is an executive at Canadaian Springs for example.

I think I heard somewhere he got rid of that job. I cant remember if he came back though... Lahey runs FilmWorks or something. On barrington street in halifax. Cory is a big time dancer and musician and MJ does music as well. Most of the crew probably dont have other jobs either Im prett sure they are rapped in it most of the year.

Sadly I can't prove it right now because the website has been down, but Pat Roach as of a few weeks ago, was listed as branch manager of the South Shore region. Most of the crew really only work on the show a few weeks out of the year, this year being an exception. To the best of my knowledge, only Rob Wells, JP Tremblay, Mike Smith and Mike Clattenburg work on the show year around or close to it.

I have a question that's not on page 1.

Where do/did all the cats and dogs come from?  Were they just already running around the parks where seasons 1-4 were filmed?  There are hardly any in season 5(not even Vince the Pince.  Did Bubbles just leave him in jail?) and I don't think any have appeared in multiple seasons.  I hope they find a way to rectify their absence for future seasons on the permanent set, because all the critters running around added a nice touch of realism.

Title: Frequently Asked TPB Questions
Post by: Melba the Disco Queen on Dec 24, 2005, 06:37 PM
Some of the dogs & cats are from the parks that they film in, others belong to cast members. I believe Vince the Pince actually belongs to Mike Smith, & Mike Clattenburg has a cat that appears in the show as well. If you have the DVD's listen to the commentaries & watch the outtakes, extra scenes, etc...often the origin of the cats & dogs in particular scenes are revealed. No one seems to know why we didn't see Vince in season 5, that was something that kinda bugged me too.

That article may be out of date, check the credits the next time you watch the show, last time I looked he wasn't involved anymore.  22 Minutes is mentioned in that thread, and a few others here, it was a ground-breaking show.  It preceded John Stewart's Daily Show which follows the same format.

22 Minutes is also shot in Halifax.  Jonathan Torrens and Shauna MacDonald (Erica) have both appeared on the show, and Ed MacDonald (The Bible Pimp) used to write for the show.

How can I get one of the famous shirts worn by Ricky?  I really want that black and white checkered one.  I've got the rest of the outfit covered, I just need that shirt!  I know it's a stretch, but is this possible?  All I can think of is searching out the sewing shops for a similar fabric pattern, and then have one custom made.  I think this would make a great item for TPB fans.

Check out your local second-hand shops. I've checked the fabric shops in my neighbourhood (I live in the textile district of the city) & have discovered that houndstooth can be surprisingly expensive. Wal-Marts in my area don't carry a simple cotton houndstooth pattern. :(

If it's from the first or second season, it might just be a beat or loop Buck 65 put together for the show.
Title: Frequently Asked TPB Questions
Post by: form on Aug 30, 2006, 11:29 AM
It's seems you get alot of theese questions, but i've been searching the web for hours now, including this forum, so i just have to ask or this will drive me f'ing crazy. Sorry.

I'm looking for the beat/loop that the boys listen to in their car in season 1 & 2. The only scene i remember is when J-Roc pulls up in his car to ask Sam to be in one of his movies in episode 207 "The bare pimp project".

It can't be trick pony, cus i found quite a few songs, and none of them were rap/hiphop.
I downloaded 3 Buck 65 albums. Vertex(1999), Man overboard(2001) and Synthesia(2001). There are two more albums made before 2001 (when the episodes in question aired), but i couldn't find those.

The question is if it's a beat he made just for the show, or if it's on one of the 2 albums i couldn't find. Even IF it was made just for the show, you should be able to find it somewhere. The strange thing is that it's seems really familiar, like i'd heard it somewhere else, before i'd seen the show.

If you're gonna reply, please look up the scene i'm talking about so we know we're talking bout the same beat. Sorry again for bringin this up, but it's driving me mad. And sorry if my grammar/spelling sucks, i'm swedish :)

Buck 65 made the beats/loops.. doesn't mean they're on his albums or anything.. it's just something made up for TPB.

One of the beats you might have recognized is Gangstarr - So What's Up? - which seemed to be sampled, and has some random rap lyrics overtop.

Buck 65 made the beats/loops.. doesn't mean they're on his albums or anything.. it's just something made up for TPB.
Yea, that much i've figured out, got confused cus it said Trick Pony under Beats/Loops in the credits. But anyways, I'm looking for one specific beat, not beats. And, as i wrote earlier, even if it's not on the album, it should be around somewhere, this is the internet for fucks sake :P
Quote from: cat-dog
One of the beats you might have recognized is Gangstarr - So What's Up? - which seemed to be sampled, and has some random rap lyrics overtop.
This is exactly why i asked you to listen to the beat before posting. That is not the beat i'm looking for, or recognized. It's the one in the scene i mentioned. 'So what's up up?' was probably the first mp3 i downloaded when i started searching earlier today. You underestimate my searching :)

just checked it out.. it's the track that plays on one of the menus.. has some lyric "this rhyme is dedicated to all the cats & dogs .. " or something.. guessing it's just another loop w/ some rhymes. might even be 'T' as he has his own rap group, or was in one.

Aw man this is irritating. I mean... If it's on the DVD, it should be in the credits or something, how come no1 knows what it's called? Doesn't the person who made this/these tracks want to spread their music? Or at least get mentioned in the credits? Well i guess it's only a matter of time before it's spread on the web or released... Maybe a TPB soundtrack or something? That would be awsome.
Hey cat-dog... Can't you check the credits? I would really appreciate that.

Yea. Tyrone, aka Knucklehead, is in a group called 365 according to trailerparkboys.com. Papa Grand (DVS) is supposed to have a website at www.papagrand.com but all i could find is his myspace.

yeah i think i know which beat you mean ,i was searching for it too a few years ago but never found it . Its in general just samples and beats buck65 put together especially for the show, they might contain tit bits of other songs(samples) but thats not a certainty.. definitely not a certainty that you'll recognise it..

i don't know about T and 365 , all i know is he gave me his solo project cd called Knucklehead when he singed my dvd at last years tpb season premiere party in April.

This is Some more easter Eggs found in seasons 5 and 6 and the swearing menus to season 1. I also mentioned the title numbers for all of the easter Eggs so you can use your dvd Players to find it a little easier becasue I know I had trouble accessing Half of these eggs and most of them I found after a few had tripped during seasons that I had watched many times before them by doing a continuous title search.

Could have been problems production Wise. Remember Levi and Deseiree, I think they wanted to keep them as actors but it just becasme too expensive to use them. Also DVS, is a rapper in real life and the show could have conflicted with his schedule. who knows.

Quick Question. Looking for the Name of Four Songs. Now These are all form The Episode Closer to the Heart and With saying that I know they are all rush songs but I Have no talent for recognizing names.

These are the scenes these songs are played in.

The First one is is the Scene where Ricky, Julian, Bullbes , Corey and Trevor are outside the veternary office talking about getting tickets to the concert and wondering if they could get dope. ( Also the song bubbles starts to sing in the previous scene)

The Next one is where Ricky, Julian and bubbles are sorting trash for layhey and randy so they can get tickets.

The Third ne is when Ricky Julain and bubbles are fighting with randy to put on a t-shirt while they are in the Metero Center

The Fourth one is the song that is being played live while bubbles is on stage.

If I remember correctly, that might be one of Mike Jackson's songs, I may be wrong though...

and I believe the on stage one is Tom Sawyer.

I think it is the one on stage is tom Sawyer but I think the other ones are all rush becasue i RMEMBER MIKE CLATTENBURG IN THE COMMENTARIES saying that they were given permission to use so many songs that they couldn't use them all.

After watching this episode again, which was a pleasure, I think I may have the answers for you (I can be corrected where mistaken)...

Bubbles, to Ricky, drum solo cowbell part from concert version of YYZ.

Bubbles sings parts of "Limelight" when the boys are driving through the trash and then the song plays in the car when Cory and Trevor are looking for dope.

"Earthshine" from Vapour Trails is on the radio after the contest announcement.

Alex plays "Tom Sawyer" on the out of tune guitar Ricky gives him in the park (Julian's trailer)

As far as the song where Randy is made to put on a shirt, it was too much in the background for me to tell.

Alex is playing a riff from "Red Barchetta" when the boys arrive in his dressing room.

Bubbles plays a portion of "Tom Sawyer" to shut everyone up in Alex's dressing room.

The concert tune is indeed "Tom Sawyer"

Let's not forget Bubbles and Alex playing "Closer to the heart" at the end of the episode with it fading into concert audio of the same song played by Rush themselves. (Slightly faster tempo).

I hope I didn't miss anything or get any of these wrong. Correct me if I did.

It was called "Working Man" after the name of Rita's big song about Cape Breton coal miners.

I never heard of Rita, so when I first watched the TPB episode I thought she was just an actress. I listened to the video you posted [ by the way thank you, that was a thoughtful thing to do on your part :)] and after listening I googled her name. I learned a lot about her and I love learning something new! You know the old saying .. you learn something new each day, which was the case on my part. She has a very soulful sound to her, it's very haunting. I also liked the fact of her singing about the coal miners, some of my ancestors worked the coal mines in Pennsylvania, we lost a lot due to the black lung disease, many died young. I think that's why most of the women [on my mother's side of the family] are very strong because of having to raise families by themselves. Thanks again, ya made my day. :D

Yeah great post GWF

In that version she was backed up by the Cape Breton Choir “The Men of the Deeps” who were actual Cape Breton coal miners.  Rita and the choir both achieved international success.  Here’s more on them

http://www.ritamacneil.com/

http://www.menofthedeeps.com/

I remember back in season 4 when word was out that Rita was going to appear, there were a bunch of negative posts saying why is she going to be on blah, blah, blah, pretty well the way it is when they announce anybody is going to be on the show.  I find a lot of people don’t bother posing unless they have something negative to say.  Anyway this was back when Showcase had a TPB forum.  Mike Clattenburg himself came on and posted that he loved Rita’s voice and was thrilled to have met her in person.  He found her to be a genuinely good and funny person, like most Cape Bretoners :)

Thanks for the links, I've bookmarked them. Here's a question for you, why is it negative to be on TBP? How do Canadians and their T.V. audience feel about the show? I would imagine they are a huge success, but I could be mistaken. I would appreciate any response you guys have.. I'm a dumb American :)
Title: Re: Frequently Asked TPB Questions
Post by: shake on May 20, 2008, 08:46 PM
No it is not negative to be on TPB, it is just that everytime TPB announces some guest will be on a bunch of negative comments start being posted by TPB fans.  The first star on the show was Alex Lifeson from RUSH and you should have seen all the negative comments on Showcase, "how can TPB have stars on the show, the show has jumped the shark!"  Of course most people ended up liking that ep and Lifeson.

Many people still bitch though, just like they did last season when they heard Sebastian Bach would be on the show.  In general there are a lot of stars, many of them rock stars, that would love to be on the show.

As for your other question the show is popular in Canada but there are some people that don't get it, they are the people who haven't given it a chance.

I really admire Rita because she was such a good sport on the TPB episode. I mean, she's out there at night in a field of dope, at "gunpoint" with Ricky saying fuck every few seconds. She sits there processing the dope for shipping with a smile and a song.
I wonder if she also received comments about how her appearance on the show could mar her reputation, and her career. And if so, did she simply ask them, "Don't you any offs to fuck?"  :D

I assume that TPB is set in contemporary times, so what's with the 90's style big cel phones - and the OLD money? Is this a Maritimes thing, or perhaps Mike Clattenburg is making a statement of some kind?

Regards.

I'm a new fan who only discovered TPB a couple of weeks ago. I've only watched the first 4 seasons, the xmas special and the big dirty movie so far.

I had a few questions which have been answered by this FAQ but came up with a couple more after reading it.

Who is that guy that yells “What in the Fuck”

That is the voice of Mike Smith (Bubbles).  They first recorded him screaming that in the original TPB movie, where he played the sound man that carried the boom mike, and have used that track throughout the show.  In season 4 ep 1 they introduced him as the character called Donnie, but Ricky called him Danny (he is Ricky remember).  Donnie can he be heard screaming various hilarious things in the background throughout the show.

I just rewatched S4 EP1 Never Cry Shitwolf and didn't see Donnie being introduced. Did I just miss it somehow or is this from another episode?

Where can I find the short film The Cart Boy

It's on disk # 2 of the Season 1-2 dvd set.  Just maneuver your cursor until you can click on the shopping cart on the special features menu and there you will find the cart boy.  It was something filmed after the original movie and before the TV series.  It was the first time we saw the Bubbles character although in that short he was not called Bubbles and JP and Robb played different characters as well.

On IMDB it says Cart Boy was made in 1995 http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0431676/ years before the first movie.

Are they wrong?

Where can I find the short film "One Last Shot"

One Last Shot is not available for purchase, nor can it be downloaded, hopefully it will be made available sometime in the future.

I just found a movie in this torrent named "Trailer Park Boys-One Last Shot.avi (699.58 megabyte)" http://www.mininova.org/det/2148071

Haven't downloaded it yet and according to this thread there isn't a version out there... so wondering if it might just be a mislabeled version of the 1999 movie.

Hi Optional and welcome to the Org!

1  We don't see Donnie but Ricky calls out to him after he hollers about the cable and calls him Danny.

2 Yes IMDB is wrong, Cart Boy was made after the 1999 movie,as per Clattenburg's commentary.  It was a way to introduce the "Bubbles" character, called Darren in Cart Boy.  Mike Smith would goof around as his Bubbles character while he worked on the 99 movie and the boys liked it.

3 Yes unfortunately it is mislabeled, it is the 99 movie.  Hearts of Dartmouth talked about One Last Shot and the original movie, and after that for some reason a lot of people seem to think they were the same thing but they are not.

Thanks for the welcome and fast reply Shake :)

I'm only sorry I never heard about the show earlier... although it is kinda cool being able to start watching it already knowing it has ended on a good note, and when the makers chose.  :D

I'm surprised an Australian production house hasn't used the idea for a local version... or that it hasn't been shown. The humour fits in down here perfectly I think.

Thanks for that info too.

It is also the hometown of the young hockey star Sidney Crosby.

I felt the need to update this to say to say captain of the Stanley Cup champions Pittsburgh Penguins Sidney Crosby.  So I will.

I was reading thru the faq as I am a new member and came across this post...which reminded me of sumthin which made me laff my ass off...back in '07, I started a new job at the superstore(stuporstore,stupidstore..take yer pick) , and was up in the staff area watching an orientation video about basic co-worker interaction, or some stupid shit..and low and behold, the narrator/ actor in the video was corey from the TPB...it was such a dorky video..and i could just imagine all of the politically incorrect shit going thru his head that he wanted to say...by the end of the 20 minute video i was fukin laffin soo hard my new manager came in to see what was going on..i guess she never had that reaction to such boring shit b4...but she also laffed when i pointed out who the actor was...being from Pictou County, everyone thinks TPB is da bomb...even a 45 year old conservative..lolz.....

the best part is
In places like quebec, im more known in the grocery stores than I am here...every time they talk to me it's about safe lifting...
In all truth, we had a blast doing that stuff, but...you should see our alternate video....It was disapproved immediately!

I actually do all the loblaws videos. And it's run by younger people than me...with a very dark and crazy sense of humour.

You can find them and much more over on SwearNet.  They even have a Trailer Park Boys Season 8.5 there. Hilarious I might add. Also liquor stories with Jim Lahey, ask me anything with various cast members.. etc..  $39.95 a year or $4.20 a month. You can do the by the month thing without automatic renewal. So its real inexpensive to check it out and see if you like it..

I'm really keen to join Swearnet, especially as it's like £3 a month for me in the uk, but can you literally just have it for a month if you wanted?

Yes you can. Here in the U.S.A. I got it for $4.20 a month  The bank of course charged me .08 cents extra for some foreign processing fee. Then after 30 days you can decide if you like it or not. I did that for a few months before plunking down $39.99 for a year. Good Stuff there and well worth it.  They really do crank out the videos. Plus there is Trailer Park Boys Season 8.5 on SwearNet only. Several episodes of the Boys in Jail and Randy eating cheeseburgers, Lahey being Lahey etc.. Good Stuff

Does anyone know where I can find Mike Smiths reply to Micheal Jacksons MySpace claims? I've read it once but I can't find it anymore.
Also, there is a fair gap between TPB, happy fun time and swearnet. Anyone know what the lads got up to in between?

From my recollection, it was JP's response that you're talking about. Don't know where it is now.
The boys were planning their next move, between projects and doing live touring.

No there was deffo a reply from Mike, because he addressed MJ's claims about Mike Smith essentially stealing jokes from other cast members.

I was just curious because in Swearnet the movie, Rob sells ciggies and J.P makes a remark about selling "bull shit real estate", so I just wondered if this was a joke about what they got up to inbeteeen projects.
