My mom told me she had way too many tomatoes and was asking me how to make tomato sauce. Does anyone have a good recipe for a fairly plain sauce?

I planted them in early May from seed, I was a bit late getting them started but I got 12 decent plants out of them. There's at least 25 chilis growing now. I'll probably make chili oil with some, freeze/dry a load more, and hide the rest in people's sandwiches when they're not looking.

yeah i will start using the window sills for tomato plants ..those plastic cake covers make great mini indoor greenhouses.(in the states they are clear plastic with a black plastic base.)perfect for seedlings up to an inch or so.
..... a perfect time to start germinating some seeds hell we still have about three feet of snow on the ground!

We have had great growing weather this year if you deduct the storms from hell.
This was taken a couple of weeks ago. I have over a dozen tomatoes on them now.
Beans, okra, onions, eggplant, watermelons and peppers

I have a Nectarine tree I planted over 10 years ago.  It always yields a car load of fruit in May[now], however I have two little problems.  Leaf hoppers come in droves, eating several other green plants.  One was destroyed two years ago.  The other issue, for some reason the fruit only gets as big as small plums.  Should be closer to peach sized.
I don't spray or poison the bugs, with a storm drain in my front yard, and have no idea how to get bigger Nectarines.  Anyone familiar with these?

I have one raised bed that has tomatoes, peppers [Anaheim, habenero, thai chili], strawberries, an eggplant plant.  I have some seedlings started, ready to be planted in my second raised bed-- after I build it and fill it full of soil.  This is my first year garden, so needless to say, I'm very excited.  Thinking about taking up canning too, so I can make some salsa.   ;)
F*ck, that's good pepperoni!
