I deleted all my appointments in Outlook....HELP
« on: Feb 04, 2009, 12:15 AM »
This afternoon something happened when I was syncing my BlackBerry with my Outlook calendar.  All the appointments in Outlook were..POOF...gone.
I still have all the appointments in my BB but I discovered something weird.  The BB has changed my default calendar, which is why all the Outlook appointments were deleted.  I was doing a 1 way sync from the BB to outlook.  The "new" default calendar only had 11 appointments in it so it wiped out all the existing outlook appointments.
Basically I need to know if there is any way at all to restore my outlook appointments.  Even though all the appointments are in my BB I can't get them to sync with outlook since it is now not the default calendar.  The only way I can think of to get them all back is to manually reenter them into outlook and I really don't want to have to go that route.  And before you ask...NO I did not have my calendar backed up....why would I ...what could possibly go wrong...DOH
My God...what a drunk horror show!

Will system restore in XP solve your problem Hunner? I don't use the calendar with Outlook so I don't know for sure. I doubt that it would hurt to use a restore.

Tried that first.  Apparently a system restore doesn't affect that kind of data.  Also I am using Vista.

No back ups on a memory stick or any other device that you can import? Sorry, I have no experience with Vista. Just wait a day or two until the guru's can help you.

I know if you delete mail in outlook there's a recover deleted items option on the menu, I don't know about appointments though, worth a try.

I finally figured it out.  It was just as simple as shake said.  I went into the deleted items folder and they were all in there.  I just had to click on the appointments and drag them back onto the calendar.  Of course I figured this out after I manually re-entered most of them!
