Geez, I don't know that I could even pick a "favorite" season. I'd have to say one of my favorite episodes is in Season 7 when they all team up to get back at officer's Cock-knuckles and Dicklock. It was like a mini-movie. After the HD technology became more mainstream and after shooting The Big Dirty I think the episodes started looking more cinema-style. But by the time you start thinking, "Wait, how would they have a camera sinking with the car? That's not realistic if it's a documentary," then they show Rooster-headed alien-trevor swimming out with the fucking thing. Brilliant.

I really like Season 1 though. Especially when Cyrus says: "Nine-millimeter, safety ALWAYS off. My father gave me this gun. It's seen a lot of action. He told me he was proud of me once. Fuckin' prick."

"You guys think you're smarter than me, and who fuckin' knows, maybe you are...you know, your thoughts might be better than mine, but I have thoughts goin' around in my head, too, about different thinkin's and brain things you can use...you guys don't always know what's best. And my fuckin' thoughts have feelings of their own, too, sometimes."  -Ricky (Dressed All Over & Zesty Mordant)

Yeah. I get bored at work and I'm constantly making graphics in photoshop CS3 for icons and wallpapers of random bullshit. That one took like 2 minutes. It was my messenger icon for a while. Glad you like it! I wanna post more wallpapers up here. I put a Lucy/Lucy's ass one up the other day. It's a combo of true TPB fan love and boredom in photoshop.

I Don't know But I was looking at the credits and noticed that it listed Ted Johnson and George Green. Did anyone remember seeing those two dicks anywhere because I certainly didn't

Yes I saw them Jake,  They were in the background in one of the last scenes of the boys in the jail recreation yard. I remember George was sitting on a bench or something.  Not sure if it was when Sam was talking or someone else.  But neither character had a speaking part.

Did anyone else have a problem with 'Say Good night to the Bad Guys'?

I just saw it. I was let so let down. I understand that this episode may be the set up for the new movie but it was so weak.
The whole plot of Season 7 is brushed aside in the first act and then ignored: they lose all the money from the model train scenario by Julian getting his car stolen by Sam. The cops find the money. The car is returned and nothing is said about the money? The cops know the car is Julian's (it is returned) and there is no investigation why he has a load of money in the trunk! Or no word why the money itself isn't returned to him?! so WEAK. And such a letdown.

So for the rest of the episode the big scam is to steal a few K. Not cutting it. Hard to get into this after they just lost almost half a mil. without much fuss. Tired. Why should care if they dont?

Then they set up a plot with bad ole double crossing Mr. Lahyeh.  He is drunk and he betrays them. Zzzzz (The only outstanding feature of this was a fantastic performance by John Dunsworth) Again: boring. Seen it. Seen it.

The only original segment is when they beat up the crew. Well over due.

Over all my criticism is pointed to the witters. I was hoping for more plot development, that the writers would let the plot from Season 7 develop to a new level. Instead they just restarted the old formula as if to protect a franchise. Much like the first movie actually.

My opinion: any thoughts?

total disagreement, I say awesome.  You can always over-analyze but honestly ,after season 7 (which I liked for the most part) i was impressed.  The jail dummies and Phils other son (whatever his name was) were left out which i thought was excellent. No more trying to replace Cory and Trevor which i thought was the big mistake in #7.  I would have liked to have seen a longer perhaps 2 hour special but of course i would like to see more of them in general,

I agree with both of the last two comments. I thought that the plot line for the first third of the special was pretty weak, the money theft, no blow back for having the money in the car, maybe the cops kept it, that's what they would have done here, and Ricky and Bubbles acting like 10 year olds after Julian lost the money.

After that though I thought that the rest of the show was good. I found that this show had a lot of great moments in it although the writing as a whole was disjointed and sloppy.

Lets face it. They are tired of doing the show and it shows. Although having said that, it is still better than 90% of the crap on TV now. Lets hope this movie is done in the style that we are accustomed to and abandons the style of the first movie.

Don't forget the special wasn't written by the 'regular' team, so it did have a different feel to it.

It was Mike C. and Timm Hannebohm, btw.

Ok I may have missed those two because I was stuck with a low res version and the quality wasn't that good so I so easily missed them but it is nice that they included every regular character in some sort of way even though it was just in the background and that is also understandable because they were sent to jail for five years in season 7 so it makes sense that you would only see them in jail.

Yeah That Special was only Written By Mike Clattenburg And Tim Hannenbaum (Writer since season 5) and there was nobody else listed like Robb Wells Or John Paul Tremblay. I also Noticed since Tim Joined the storyline had took a very different turn from the earlier seasons. and if anyone had noticed that season's 1-4 The style was more like the Simpson's where you could view almost any episode individually without missing too much information on the other parts of the season. After season 4 TPB more took the story arc method where if you viewed an episode you would have trouble understanding it without seeing the rest of the season and That is Why after season 5 I found it took me longer to appreciate the season.

I'm way too late on this thread, I guess it's hard to keep going back and saying goodbye to the boys, only to find out I get one more chance.

Best episode of TPB yet.

And this scene might just be the greatest moment in comedic history;

Lahey, drunker than fuck (Ray's good liquor in hand), crawling across the bathroom floor, only to notice a bologna sandwich. He picks it up, continues to take a bite, then throws it against the wall.

Whaaa?? That's so dumb - if it was boobies there would be no blurring. What kind of Puritanical censorship is this? Let the bird free!   ;)

It's Probably a rating thing Boobies get an 'R' & 'Birds' would probably get an 'X' rating
