I stumbled across this in the Peterborough Examiner last night. Just got tix this morning, 6th row! I'm not sure of the other dates. First stop May 29 Memorial Centre, Peterborough. Here's the link:

Good to know. So they are just revealing dates slowly? That's just teasing.  ;)

Think of it as a late Xmas present. You have to buy for yourself now.

Sod the weather, Jake! Just go! It'll be fun. Massey Hall is a great venue - just think of all the people who've played there over the years.

(admittedly mid-January can get a little frosty in TO). :D

Hey Tiggy, I am all for going no matter what the, but I don't have a drivers licence and my mother controls what happens to the car and if the weather is horrible if we should go. I have told her that I am willing to pay for tickets and that I would go no matter how crappy the weather was but she is doubtful because she hates driving in crappy weather. I have also been to Massey hall before and it is excellent.

You beat me to it! Massey Hall is a great venue. Tix are a bit pricy though. I got to see it in Ptbo, it's a lot of fun. I'll pass this time around though.

I was going to talk my wife into taking a winter vacation to Toronto, to get away from the sub-zero Iowa winters. She isn't biting. I did notice that all the floor tickets were already sold. And too bad plane tickets would cost roughly a grand for two of them.

Jake, is there any way you can call the venue and use your card?

Oooo I gotta get tix to this Toronto show...if there's any balcony seats left it will still be a great show.  I was in the balcony for a screening of a movie during the film festival last year and had a great view.

Just something I thought I should mention for those of you who haven't gotten your tix yet.

I looked online today and the "best available" was the gallery seats, i.e. the second balcony.  I couldn't believe it, considering the show is over 4 months away!  I mentioned it to my mom, and she said the same thing happened when she bought tickets to Gordon Lightfoot at Massey a few months in advance.  She said a few days before she checked tickets again just for shits and saw that floor seats came up.  Apparently Massey is known to block tickets for God knows what reason until closer to the event.

I'm apprehensive to buy my tickets now, but I also don't want to miss out  :?

K-ROC, same thing has happened to me when booking tickets at other venues (although not at Massey Hall). I think it's a sneaky way for venues to look more booked up than they are, so people panic and buy tickets early.

On the other hand, it may just be very popular! No way of knowing unless you have insider knowledge, I'm afraid.

K-ROC, that's interesting information for sure. I want to go, but I've been waiting on a couple friends to see if they will be able to go with me; if they sell out they might add another show, I think that happened with Kids In The Hall earlier this year. I'm gonna wait a little bit to see if either the floor seats get freed up or another show is added.

Buy balcony now. If floor seats come up buy them and sell your balcony seats. You're Covered either way.

Venues hold seats back for radio prizes, corporate perks etc. They are usually good seats. sometimes they don't use them all.

We had an insider for years in the ticket office who would give us first dibs on any returns.
Look 3 days or so before the show.

So if I buy the balcony seats, will there be a good view of the show, or will I be 10 miles back watching it through binoculars?

Toronto is a bit of a drive for us, especially in the month of January.  :?

Massey Hall is a relatively small venue so I don't think you can really get "bad" seats, just seats that are preferred. Here is the seating chart...

It's not Wembley Stadium ;)

Thanks. I saw the seating chart. we are an 8 hour drive from the GTA in good weather. I don't really want to drive there in shit weather for shit seats.

I forgot about this site until recently or I would have bought tickets right when they released.

I am on disability right now so I have lots of time to surf the net and remembered all of you dicks were over here so I figured I would stop back in and saw this topic. Too cool.  :perv1:

Ok, gotta get back in my wheelchair before someone sees me walking around.

Here is a picture of Massey Hall, the stage is just out of the picture on the right. There are no bad seats, really.
