I've heard that our lord and leader  :roll:  vistited Hali this week. Hope alot of protesters showed up. I heard he totaly dissed your PM too by mentioning some stupid "nuke missle shield" program that the PM's party has never supported yet, W put him on the spot about it anyways in front of the media and embarrassed him. W also thanked the folks for taking in stranded international airline passengers after 9/11 when the planes were grounded. Well, the planes that didn't carry the Bin Laden family back to Saudi Arabia anyways.

I live and work in downtown Ottawa, so I went down to one of the demonstrations at lunch to check it out and take some pics.  They marched right down the street I work on, it was an impressive sight.  I also went down to Parliament Hill after work for a little while.  I guess there were a couple of minor skirmishes but the demonstrations were mostly peaceful.
