Fires

Evangeline-What part of Escondido are they in?  The only damage that I have seen in that area was in the Lomas Serenas area north of Lake Hodges and down in Del Dios.  My father lives near Felicita Park and he said that there hasn't been any fire damage north of Via Rancho Parkway(he used to be the volunteer fire chief in that area and still has information sources).

The wind started to die down around noon and in some places reversed and is blowing from the west.  Because the winds have died down aircraft can now start attacking the fire and have been able to slow down or even stop some areas of the fires.

Things are looking better, but with four major fires burning we are not out of the woods yet.

They live on Felicita Road (I have no idea where that is) and as of last night they were still at Motel 6. Hopefully with the winds dying down they can go back home.  I am sending some of my Seattle rain down there too!

Felicita is to the north of where the fires have burned, so their place should be OK.

I've been watching the coverage most of the day but nothing  has been mentioned about an arrest for any of the fires in San Diego county, but I don't know about any of the fires to the north of the county.

heard they determined at least one was deliberately set but nothing about an arrest
