I highly doubt it that they will make it big over there. They tried and I think only made it up to season four before bbc america dropped them and I think nobody has been able to find it anywhere else.

I think if the show got started on Comedy Central, perhaps start with the movie, judge the response and then start the series it would be ok. Comedy Central, of course, would have to censor quite a bit of it, but they could run the late night uncensored versions like they often do with South Park. Another channel they might consider is IFC. Not as big as Comedy Central, but they could run the show completely uncensored. IFC has a pretty good fanbase built in so it wouldn't be too bad of a choice. Last, but not least, a long shot would be AMC. Again, it could be run uncensored and with the new series Breaking Bad on there it could be a nice fit especially if they put the shows on back to back. From there you would obviously have to try something like HBO or Showtime. A Trailer Park Boys, Weeds and Californication combo would make for some pretty damn good TV on Showtime.

I ended up talking to a random person today at a local coffee shop who had ordered the movie on-demand out of curiousity- pretty cool, looks like it's getting around a bit even though it's just on cable networks

AMC would never work, they're not edgy enough. Only hope would be Showtime, but their other shows don't push it like TPB. I think it would have to be PBS , who at least, has to listen to it's viewers..not that it be an automatic yes from them either. It's a friggin shame because I KNOW this show would be a huge hit here....damn  :x

You apparently haven't seen Breaking Bad on AMC. Not only is the show about cooking meth, but it has nonstop profanity, a piece by piece breakdown of how to dispose of dead bodies with chemicals, and occasional nudity. I haven't seen anything in TPB that couldn't be shown on AMC via Breaking Bads guidelines.

If you have seen hearts of Dartmouth, Comedy central was the first network that they pitched the show to, but they were cold and they knew when they went to pitch it that it wasn;t even going to be considered. They pitvhed it to showcase just off a random what to do next thought. but now since the show has gained lots of support, they may change their attitude.

They first pitched it to the The Comedy Network, the Canadian cable network and they turned it down.  Comedy Central is a US network, totally different thing.

Even if Comedy Central would have turned down Dartmouth special, you have to realize that was a few years ago. I mean after all, Comedy Central now has Kenny vs. Spenny censored and it is still good for what it is. TPB have grown way more in popularity since their Dartmouth special.

Besides. In that special, they were talking about their original pitch. Now that it has gained popularity, they may recieve it well now.

Just the article that was linked to in the FAQ thread, likely in October.

It seems like everyone there are resting on their laurels (or asses), when this show could be a major break in your career, especially in Canada and especially the United States. I don't get it. None of the major actors have done anything in the past year, according to IMDB.
I can see everyone wants to take 6 months off, count the money and take a cruise, but I don't understand why every one of these guys are "retired".

Many of the actors on this show are very talented, and could do much more film and TV work. I read on here six months ago or so that the principles of TPB were going to do a variety, sketch show in the vein of Kids in the Hall, or SNL, or SCTV, with the actors playing other characters who occasionally slip back into their TPB characters. I came back to this board to see if there has been an update. Nope, everyone still on vacation.

Senor,
This is a fan site, not the offices of Trailer Park Productions.  Perhaps you should start up a signature campaign to get the show to make more episodes.  Most of us have come to the stark realization that there are no more seasons to come.  If you look around you'll see there is a special planned and maybe another movie.

Oh Frig senor. Thse boys are still touring about. They just haven't been doing anything to do with film. and with IMDB, it may be quite a delay before any sort of movie or show is listed on there, so I never fully trust these databases. They have though been doing roadshows and on other sorts of tours.
