Reviving this thread for the Ottawa folks. There is a place at 422 Bronson Ave called CenterTown Resto Bar that makes pretty authentic Halifax style donairs and sauce. Even advertises that way. I had a couple last week and they weren't bad except the meat was a tad dry. Here's the link to their site.

Enjoy.

Tony's (near the Halifax Commons on 2390 Robie Street) for donairs and Charlie's[2] or Charles (depending on what reference you check)
  • Pizza at 487 St. Phillips Street in BridgeH2O, Nova Scotia.  The staff at Charlie's/ Charles is pleasant, the dough is homemade and fantastic and the works version or 8 topping pizzas are well worth the drive if you're near Bridgewater, NS.

  •   I recall the sign out front says Charles, however, the menus say Charlie's.  I typically ask to substitute olives (black or green) for onions ;).

Tony's Pizza . They have the best pizza here in town .  One thing I love about them is the fact that their crust isn't like a loaf of bread . They are generous with their toppings . Fabulous taste  .
