Rappy, a couple of the guys, and myself ordered a pizza and garlic fingers last night from this place that just opened here in Dartmouth called "Uncle Bucks" Their pizza kicks ass!!! (It could of been the 7 beer that made it taste so good too) but they used the dynamite hot pepperoni and "Fhak that's good pepperoni"
I thought it would be cool for everyone to give shout-outs to some of the best pizza-donair shops in your city or town...I'm not talking about those huge chain restaurants like Pizza Hut and that crap... The good ole Corner Pizza Shops, like Uncle Bucks, and Ronnie's Pizza. It would be great to know this so I will have some good places to eat the next time I go on a road trip!

It is quite hard to find a good pizza restaurant let alone a donair, in my area. All the chains have really sent the Mom and Pop operations to bed. I do know however, that the best donairs I have ever had are at Sammy's Donair in Burlington Ontario. Holy fuck just typing that I began to drool. I consider myself to be a junk food authority and would love to find a good pizza in the GTA, if anyone knows where I can get a Montreal style pizza here I would be eternally greatful, I've looked high and low, no luck.

Best Pizza? Baymoorings Restaurant in Horseshoe Bay. Dough made fresh everymorning...sauce simmered for 8 hours.....oh man...good stuff!!!

Uncle Buck was the name of a character that John Candy played in an 80's movie.  Can't remember the name of it though.

Best donair in moncton area....Acadia Donair...but i also had a good one yesterday at the moncton market, nice and messy....wore most of it home

In Calgary, the best pizza can be found at The Coventry Pizza & Family Restaurant.  It's a tiny place with about 15 tables ... the best food ever.  Tell the owner (Criss), I said "????????" and if he's in one of his giving moods (which is often), you'll get a shot of Sambuca on the house.

When i lived in calgary i used to love a slice of Spinach & Feta pizza...forget the name of the restaurant...but it was in the mall downtown along the C-Train line...damn that was some good eating....and for some good foods and times...in calgary...the Atlantic Trap N Gill....they have theeeeeeeeeeeeeee best bite sized Ribs. Yummmm i wanna go back now!

i live in hamilton, but whenever we go to visit our grandmother in Lasalle  (suburb of Montreal) we always order Pizza Centrale. It is the best pizza ever. 2 slices and you are full...

No one here in Alberta would know a good donair or some good garlic fingers if they fell from the heavens.  Most Albies don't even know what a garlic finger is.

Best donairs/pizza/garlic fingers I have ever had was in big ole Digby, N.S. at Recardo's.  I'd love to have $5 of donair meat and a XL garlic fingers with xtra bacon and cheese with some donair sauce.  I am sure I am starting to drool now.

Best Donair - basement foodcourt of Eaton Centre nearest Queen ("fooodcourt" - always makes me larf - bad chefs on trial  :lol: !!!!!!)

Best Pizza - impossible -toronto has so many great pizza joints from Papa Cio's to Amato's and  places that charge big bucks for water  :shock: !

Pizzeria Martini, Lajeunesse St.

Best Pizza
Restaurant : Pizza Mela , Prince Arthur St.
Delivery : Casa Nova, St-Valliers St.

That last place has one called "Campagnolo" (sauce, cheese, onions, bacon, black olives)
So good you gotta wear a helmet when you eat that stuff... just in case you fall off the chair, ya know.

 Best pizza and garlic fingers I ever had, was when we went home to Saint John for a visit and ate IN at 
 Romano's... I loved it! but remember if you ever get to go there don't take out, eat in!! Makes a big

I am going to Ottawa this weekend which is home of huge Shawarma (which for all intent and purposes is a donair).  There's a place there called Maroosh (sp?) run by an insane guy they call the Shawarma Nazi...the Bazooka Chicken Sweet or the Bazooka Donair Spicy are top of the heap.

Now concerning pizza...I am a bit of a pizza junkie.

I used to think Amato's was the best pizza in Toronto, but I realized that was only because I hadn't explored more of the city.  Not to say that Amato's isn't good, but Pizza Gigi is incredible, as is Pizzaiollo.  For great pizza you have to think smaller. Il Gatto Nero on College has amazing pizza, but you pay for it with shit service.  Southside Louie's (also on College) is almost as good, with good service.
