I have to rewatch this. Its Trailer Park Boys... I know I liked it I'm just unsure if I really loved it like I do with the rest. Was a bit different to me. Bubbles was way different and so was Ricky.

This episode was ok, I think Lahey not being their enemy and trying to fuck them over makes this season seem weird, to me at least. Im just wondering why they made a big deal that Lucy was having Randys baby in Episode 2 and now Lucy pretty much disappears from the park.

the episode was alright.. I hope they are leading up to something good. I agree that Jacobs brother shouldnt have been in the episode though.. shitty actor.

The bong train was awesome, and I like the way that ricky treated "the new corey and trever".  I've beeen missin that all of season 7.  But yea, We didnt see J-Roc/T and Lucy/Sarah combo's at all this episode....

i'm not fond of people posting that they wish the series would have ended and so on.  if you wish that, then stop watching and end it for yourself.  it's like people read mj's blog and jumped on the elitist wagon.  i mean, when has this series ever been known for it's high caliber acting?  there are plenty of people down here in the USA that fucking love the shit out of the show, for better for worse.  hell, most of the real critics panned this show until season 3 and 4.  it wasn't till more recently that it's earned some rightful respect.

with the few references to the alliance and treaty, you can really get the feeling that jim is about to snap and start drinking.  maybe combined with the power trip of his promotion will conjure up a gigantic impending shit storm.  falling off the wagon at the SWA anyone? 

sure the boys behavior is changing, they are getting older and growing as individuals.  we've seen the goofy antics for 6 seasons.  character growth is overdue, otherwise the show becomes incredibly predictable.  we've seen lahey's behavior change dramatically from season to season so why can't bubbles, ricky and julian change as well?  times are hard on everyone, even randy smokes hella more dope then he ever did before.  we've seen mulitiple ultimatums from almost everyone too.  Sam, Lahey, Randy, Phil...  the finale is going to be nuts.

I agree with the cheeseburger walrus.  People shouldnt post on here that the show should end.  Its a GREAT series that we will never have in the US because of the tv companies here.  I enjoy the hell out of the show and hope for AT LEAST one more season.

I'm trying to like this new season, I really am.
I really can't believe some people on here are finding every moment of these episodes funny...must be new fans to the show or something.

Thoughts on last episode..

- at least they are TRYING to create some new, bizarre money-making scheme...and I'm kinda diggin' the whole Jacob being Julian thing.
- Glad that Ricky mentioned that the Meat Dicks won't replace Cory & Trevor...and I hope I never see these Meat Dick clowns again.
- Tom Collins needs to be killed by Julian, he's terrible and doesn't fit.
- Phil Collins was better as a side/pop-up character...doesn't fit in the main cast.
- Julian used the "shit analogy" because he always tries to trick Mr. Lahey...remember Season 5..."you've always been like a father to me, Jim."
- I liked Ricky's "gettin' scratches on my car" speech.

Conky coming back is a huge disappointment...the Conky episode in Season 4 was a complete GAP FILLER in the first place..along with the episode involving Steve French.  Now they are jus re-hashing old horseshit.

Cory & Trevor were right to leave when they did, this show is getting run into the ground.
No continuity, no realism, no mockumentary.

I hope this is the last season.

why does everyone hate Conky?  I love that episode.. I think its one of the better episodes.
I will say that S7E5 was probably the low point of TPB, but it happens with all series.  I'm hoping that Clattenburg surprises us in the next few episodes

Here's my perspective on Conky:

-he's a ventriloquist puppet
-he came out of nowhere
-the show was still supposed to be a mockumentary back then
-the sound effects and the smoke machine with the puppet coming out of the water
-as many people have said, the episode was great, with lots of great memorable lines and scenes, but the cheesy scary music and smoke machine was just too much of a stretch.  They want us to believe there's a film crew following around these guys, but then show a bubbling swamp in the middle of nowhere.
-to me, this episode was for the non-fans, in order to give them something to remember and the gimmicks usually work.

That's what I was trying to say.  Conky was just something to get people that weren't fans of the show before, to see on Showcase and stop and say, Wow that little puppet is a funny fuck.  My speaking is kinda ricky like today.

This episode wasn't that great but there were a few gems sprinkled around that others have already mentioned.  I don't see the need for shots like a close up of Ricky closing the stolen meat case necessary when this sort of shot would never be in an on the fly type documentary (it's happened several times before in other episodes I know but this is about this episode).  Anyway the story isn't going well so far for me.  I don't care about the Collins clan or the two new idiots.  The train idea seems beyond far fetched.  Cory and Trevor could have come up with something better than that.  Bubbles is probably going to crack as well as Lahey.  I'm hoping something turns the flow of this season in the next episode.

That's the point.  The train idea seems unworkable and ridiculous.  With the help of Sara, Trevor and Cory could have probably pulled off something better and slightly less far fetched.

My two cents on this episode:

I'm digging:
- Ingenious idea of shipping dope using model trains. Good luck with that one, eh?
- Phil's burgers references "...And burgers is all about them rules. Burgers been good to me, they're good to you."
- Jacob's attempts to emulate Julian. I can pretty much see that happening since s7e1.
- Last scene with Sam and a wasted Barb
- Bubbles: "Get going, Lord of the Onion Rings!"

Not digging:
- Bubbles' excessive tendency to say "Deeeeee-cent!"
- I can see this episode as purely being a plot advancement device, but generally a haphazard plot and terrible acting among all featured cast members, especially Phil and Tom. And especially that scene where they clash with the Boys
- It seems that Jacobs and his two "idiot" friends are replacing Cory and Trevor as the Boys' slaves. I'm sorry; i just can't picture that making for good TV. From how those guys presented themselves here, it doesn't seem like they can replace the hilarity that comes from the immature incompetence that Cory and Trevor's personalities delivered.

I don't find it to be that great, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see what goes from here.
