My prediction is Kerry by at least 2%!

I hope Kerry wins by a decent margin, I don't want to see a repeat of last election where the Democrats win but the Republicans cheat and assume power.

IMHO, it doesn't matter who wins, Bush will receive a second term. You don't actually think that this is a real election do you? We are living in a Tom Clancy novel.

Word 2SB. Win or lose, Bush will be president again. (You don't actually believe in the system, do you?!?!) And he'll probably stretch the war out until next election and try to pull 3 consecutive terms. Fuck me.

Well, technically, a President can only serve for two terms, a total of 8 years, then they are no longer eligable for the position. Bush Sr. found a way around this, by getting his son elected, acting as the puppet while daddy pulls the strings. Not bad for an old guy, 16 years as leader :P I'm willing to bet in 2008, we'll see Jeb running, who of course will win, just wait and see.

President Bush Has Lowest IQ of all Presidents of past 50 Years
According to a study by the Lovenstein Institute, President Bush has the lowest IQ of all presidents of past 50 years.
According to statements in the report, there have been twelve presidents over the past 50 years, from F. D. Roosevelt to G. W. Bush who were all rated based on scholarly achievements, writings that they alone produced without aid of staff, their ability to speak with clarity, and several other psychological factors which were then scored in the Swanson/Crain system of intelligence ranking.
The study determined the following IQs of each president as accurate to within five percentage points:

147 .. Franklin D. Roosevelt (D)
132 .. Harry Truman (D)
122 .. Dwight D. Eisenhower (R)
174 .. John F. Kennedy (D)
126 .. Lyndon B. Johnson (D)
155 .. Richard M. Nixon (R)
121 .. Gerald Ford (R)
175 .. James E. Carter (D)
105 .. Ronald Reagan (R)
098 .. George HW Bush (R)
182 .. William J. Clinton (D)
091 .. George W. Bush (R)

(I think there has been some controversy about the accuracy of the 2001 report.)

OH GOD, LET ME SLEEP 'TILL NOVEMBER 3rd!!!!! :o

I voted early on an absentee ballot for Kerry. I watched a Orlando, Florida campaign speech today on C-SPAN and I could see him as President. When I saw him at the Tempe, AZ post-debate rally, he just bonded with all of us. He stopped in mid sentence as this beautiful, warm breeze washed over the crowd and said "y'know, it's a beautiful night tonite". You could hear the crowd softly say "yeah". The really cool treat was seeing Theresa Heinz Kerry. She had on her Red ketchup blazer and her coifed hairdoo as she walked right in front of me. I took a picture of her. Then I stood on my tippee toes and snapped away as Kerry left the stage and made his way past me. I stuck out my hand and he squeezed my fingers.
You might be sexy Julian....but you can't teach me anything about liquor....

This is true, except for in a time of war.  Franklin D. Roosevelt served three consecutive terms from 1933 - 1945 due to the Second World War.

Yeah, that's why I said technically, this assumes the country is in a peacetime state, which you are not. The circumstances need to be extreme, and so does the overall opinion of the President. We can't rightly compare Bush jr. to FDR though; two completely different Universes there in terms of likeability :D

Back to the topic of IQ's, I found a report by Steve Sailer that was quite interesting. Accoriding to him, Kerry has a lower IQ than Bush.
Check it out.

Wow! SgtMeowsteen, great photos of the next President and First Lady :D  :D  :D ! Thank you soooooo much!

You must have been very close. I thought security would make that sort of range impossible. Telephoto lens? In Canada our politicians don't have very heavy security. (A few years back our Prime Minister Chretien and his wife were visited by a maniac in their official residence. He reached their bedroom. The PM's wife chased the nutcake away brandishing some Inuit sculpture. True  !)

You rule Sarge! Thanks for always bringing good vibes and amazing goodies! Cheers!

Your very welcome Biggie. I was one row of people behind a fence so no telephoto needed. 25.000 people crowded the Tempe Town Lake to watch the debates on big screens. I'd say about 2 or 2 and a half thousand people got to go in the Rally grounds and participate. I am involved in the Letter Carrier union so my ear is "a little closer to the rail" when it comes to getting close to political figures that support Labor. Got a pic of Clinton too when he came to Phoenix awhile back for an AZ democratic fundraiser. Got his autograph as well. Wanna see it ????? I'd give all these political meet-and-greets away though for just one backstage pass to a Nine Inch Nails show though! :P

I see that this is similar to our (Canadian) election earlier this year. Where you have 2 candidates who both are not liked by many, but which one is the worst candidate.

Our end result was PM Martin barley beating Stephen Harper. More people disliked Harper more than Martin, so they voted for Martin to keep Harper out of control and the fucking Liberals hold on (To a Minority controlled Goverment). Eeven though Martin was/is a poor candidate, and shouldn't be Prime-Minister.

I fear that same reasoning will decide who wins the elections south of the border. This election has become a slugfest, and whoever is painted as the lesser of 2 evils will win.

Also, from my knowledge no war time president has been re-elected to a second term with the exception of FDR. (This conspiracy theory keeps popping up eh!)
