Life is full of tragedy sometimes. But there's tons of good stuff, beautiful stuff to make up for it. Look at SMG...a new baby to celebrate...life doesn't get sweeter than that!

I guess it all balances out in the end somehow.

wow, heavy stuff you guys.. I've got a coupla related crazy stories myself but i'm in a good mood and and rather not dwell on it right now..

..to detract back to the teachers having weapons thing.. maybe it would be better to equip them with a non-violent means of handling the situation.. like martial arts or maybe like train them to shoot poison sleepytime darts like the Kalahari Bushmen do! Take the crazy fuckers out silently before they can do any more damage.

I hate the ways these guys turn into celebrities.  And NBC is sickening.  I can comprehend the reasons they made copies of their package before they surrendered it to the FBI, but I cannot stand behind it.  Media whores.

Sad to say,but this is like the best thing that's happened to the media outlets since the Anna Nicole saga.

Fuckin leeches....you can practically see them salivating over the salacious details.

Beautifully said. These cocksuckers who do such horrible things become so damn famous. Very sad. And fuck the media. When he mentioned copying it before sending it to the police I said to myself "You dirty cocksuckers!"

One trained person with a concealed weapon could have ended the situation before it got worse.

Yep, in almost every classroom full of college students there's a student who's packing heat and is ready for an ambush by a crazed gunman instead of paying attention to the teacher and taking notes.  How realistic.

Also, the world will be a much safer place if college students carry concealed weapons; especially if they carry them to campus parties where alcohol would not contribute to any criminal behaviour.

All sarcasm aside, what happened this week is too sad. I feel sick to my stomach seeing the reports and wondering what could be the answer to everybody's question: Why?
It's Teeeeeeeeee-shirt time! CAB'S HERE, CAB'S HERE!  I think we have a Situation.

Hmmm.....Someone else posted the same thing I said. But that person gets left alone while I'm subjected to sarcasm.

Sad.

For your information Becca. Most people who carry a concealed weapon aren't in the state of ignorant bliss that non gun owners are in. We go through our daily lives in a heightened state of awareness. Expecting the un-expected.

Also, responsible gun owners know better than to mix alcohol and firearms.

yeah, maybe it wasn't the CIA afterall (who fuckin' own the media in this country anyway); perhaps Cho Seung-Hui was a FOX or MSNBC employee..

think about it.. they're obviously running out of new material lately and so Rupert walks in to the board room and says "hey guys, you'd better fuckin' come up with some violence pretty soon to get our goddamn Neilson ratings up before July!"

Fuckin' media dicks!

And btw.. guns can fuck off.. (unless of course your just filming a great canadian mockumentary and using blanks!) ;)

What a bunch of bullshit. Most people who carry concealed weapons are people who live in urban areas, a significant number who are kids. These folks use their guns to shoot and kill each other over the most insignificant reasons. I ain't lying bro, I grew up there.

And yes these gun owners are mixing more than alcohol and firearms.

I'll bet the NRA talking point gun owner you describe above describes less than 30% who carry.

Yes, there are people there, and they seem to be able to talk to me in a civilized manner.

I believe we've tried in the past to be civilized but it's failed immensely.  Not me usually because I don't usually talk politics and shit because I have nothing to add during those posting wars.

Back to the thread...

Looks like VTech is going to give all the victims a degree.  Don't know what that'll mean to the families but it's a nice gesture.

Dude, look back at my first post in this thread! I was nice, although I have a different opinion, but it was open season on me after that to some members.

If it's any consolation to you folks here... EvilTwin posted the same thing over at the INFO site and a few of us also got into an argument over there.  He said that "gun violence" doesn't exist.... and went on to say that guns don't kill people... people kill people.  If that's not the biggest bunch of BS I've ever heard, I don't know what is.  NRA

The NRA is probably on their way to VTech as we speak to have a gun rally. Fucking idiots.
