I dunno about Lahey...I mean, of course drunken bastard Lahey is greatness and shall forever remain just that, but it went on for six seasons, including the movie and the special. Not even saying that it got old or anything, but there's nothing wrong with change, especially him having some real authority for once which could be a fun change for the show. That and especially how it affects his relationship with the boys, and I guess every one else as well. I say it's a good change, and even if it only lasts through out this season, I don't think it'll go away very soon.

of course I could be totally fuckin wrong about all this but I mean...if I don't have any credulence here than you can all tell me three things:

1) fuck

No, I don't think Jim being an officer and sober will last very long but I wouldn't like him to go back to like he was in season five. That was just too much for me. I liked what he was going through in season three and four best. This is refereshing, though. I'm not saying I don't like it.

sheryl the crow's nest being made entirely of buds was really funny, phil selling carp on a hockey stick was great too.

looks like theyre setting up alot of fun later in the season...

Finally! I've waited so long to see a brand new episode. Well worth the wait.

The video quality looked better, almost like film. Did they upgrade their cameras? I watched the show on a friend's new HD TV, so maybe it's always looked like this and I just didn't realize it.

So , when Bubbles is entering the freezer at Chris Brothers , there is a red and yellow sign , to his left. It has a large 420 , and some word things , on the top and bottom . Can anyone read it ? Whats it say?

Smoking the big bong in front of their grade 3 teacher was classic. Sheryl Crow's "bud nest" was also hilarious.

There was a void in this episode without Randy, and obviously Cory Trevor, however it was good to see all the other characters intact, including Sam & Phil Collins. They need to bring back Phil's trademark line, "Whattaya lookin at my gut fir?"

I think the season will get better as it moves along and people get used to not seeing Cory Trevor.

Saucy it has to do with Lotto 649 I think.  I used to go in that Chris Brothers store quite a bit...the LC too.  I worked just up the street from there.  Thru the intersection towards Cole Harbour.  The pizza shop was just past where I worked and the restaurant across from where Julian was getting in the car is Wong's.  Excellent Chinese food there.

My fuck this show made me homesick....

anybody know of a torrent of the broadcast yet? i'm in the US so i'm totally fucked until the DVDs unless I take my chances with the download, but as I said in the chat, the shitty version i watched online has already sealed the deal of my purchase of season 7 on dvd, whenever that happens.

also, what exactly is an LC? i always assumed some kind of liquor store, but i'm constantly reminded in a very non-ricky fashion that the acronym of liquor store is not LC!

P.S. - LC is short for N.S.L.C (Nova Scotia Liquor Commission).. The US equivelent is ABC or Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control :P

I can't make out what the other words on the bottom of the sign are though.
