I kinda sound like an American.. I have lived in texas all my life, and my family for many generations.
oot and aboot.. oat and aboat... I guess the way it sounds depends on exactly where in Canada you are from?
like in the deep woods of east Texas.... water is pronounced "worter" of course that's what they use to "worsh" their cloths.
as you move north east into the u.s. it's "watta" for water... and wassh for wash... meaning they make it sound like they are about to say the word "ass" in the middle of wash.
I am sure to some one from way north in canada, they would think that when I or anyone from texas says the word wash it would sound alot like I am saying "wawsh" kinda slackjawish.
heck I have even heard someone say "walsh" no idea the location that freak was from.
