Cool gifts everyone. Especially you, OD. Barfing on Christmas...that is truly a blessing.
My family and the husband's family agreed to keep the gifts to a minimum this year. My family did a fairly decent job of sticking to the food and fellowship program as initially agreed upon. The husband's family was supposed to stick to the white elephant/dirty Santa plan as mentioned here...
http://www.trailerparkboys.org/forums/index.php?topic=6784.0What pretty much ended up happening is most of the adults (except for us) brought a white elephant gift
AND bought a gift for everyone. Anarchy!

Anyway, wow, you guys and gals weren't kidding; White Elephant/Dirty Santa can be a beating. At first, I had a really cool flashlight, but it was stolen away and I ended up with this...

The rich in-laws "misunderstood" the rules and brought used gifts. We're not talking gently used either. Check out that packaging. I'm pretty sure that's a picture of the first microwave ever invented.
Here are a few of the other gifts I received...
Cash
Candy (this is like a double gift because not only is it tasty, but it will translate into a fat ass)
Cookies (ditto)
A wicked awesome coffee mug that I've had my eye on for quite some time
And my fave gift...

That's a lap desk from Levenger. Anything that brings me one step closer to never having to leave the bed is a-okay in my book.
Seriously though, this year, me and the husband were able to move back "home" and be near family and old friends again. 2006 has been good to us.
