So who has their Christmas tree up??
I usually put my tree up the first weekend in December. To me, doing it before December is just wearing out Christmas. This is the first year in about 12 years I have decided (or had the option because I lived in apartments that wouldn't allow real trees) to get a real tree, instead of one of those fake mafukkas. I was going to buy one but my buddy at work told me I was retarded to spend money on a real tree, (This is soooo straight out of the TPB's Christmas special) but the back of his land joins with a guy who owns acres of land, and has a Christmas tree farm there... He steals his christmas tree from there every year....So I'm heading over to his place some night, we are going to get drunk, and go steal our Christmas trees from this guy. I hope the fuck I don't get shot....I'll be sure to wear the dirty hat, and I'll post pictures...

I bought 2 fake trees in 2 days after xmas last year at home depot.  We'll probably put one up next weekend and if it looks bad, go get a real one.  Will likely have to pay for it though.

Ahh Christmas Liquor shopping is awesome.  My wife usually gets a few hundred bucks in LCBO gift cards from suppliers/contractors at her plant.  And she don't drink, even when she's not pregnant.  So hence the liquor-lanche in my basement.

Fuckin right SMG. I know what you are saying...Only thing is I've started drinking twice as much since my promotion at work, and since I got married and my pantry in the kitchen has a great supply of Christmas liquor all the time... Canadian Club, Absolute Vodka, Newfie Screech, Bacardi, Captain Morgan light, St.-Remy Napoleon Brandy...The family is home early for Christmas!!! WOOO!!!

Wow you're the first person I've ever heard say they hate Christmas!  Well besides Scrooge, lol

I love the giving, socializing, food, drinks and of course the decorating!!  I wish I had kids because to me the holiday would be even better!  Guess I will settle with spoiling the dogs and cat, just wish they enjoyed it half as much as I do haha :)

oh i do love the giving part.....socializing not so much....i've always hated the hassle of visiting family at xmas....probably because none of my family gets along and are all dysfunctional....if i tend to keep to myself and not be involved in any fights then i don't mind it
i just dislike the financial mess it leaves me in also 3 kids to shop for gets expensive..lol

decorating annoys me....my house is small so i feel like it gets cluttered when i decorate and i am allergic to pine trees so i tend to get a tad uncomfertable...hehe
but it will be over as fast at it gets here  :P

See if you lived in my neighbourhood Tan, it would be different...I'd drag you to a X-Mas party here, where you'd be changing your name from "Tan" to "Tanked", and you'd be dancin bare-assed on the coffee table with x-mas lights and a lamp shade on your head to 50 Cent!

Me and my roomies have started to stack beer cans in the shape of a x-mas tree. I'll try and take a picture for you fine folks when it's completed. As for my familys house, I beleive they do already have their christmas stuff up since I got a phone call the other day telling me that my dad nearly broke his damn back trying to put the lights up on the house.

I love the christmas season, it always makes me feel like a really little kid again.

nice job Tan.  We put our fake tree up on Sunday.  When covered with crap it don't look so bad.  Put up the rest of the nicknacks last night.  The little one loves looking at the lights.  Even helped put it up.

its actually my first artificial tree.....its a small one but i had a friend that was gona throw it out and i am like a garbage collector or something...turned out just fine cause the 2 main reasons i hated having a xmas tree is one i am alergic to pine trees....which is why i always hated to have a tree but i was always too cheap to spend 100 or so on a fake....i have other places to put that money that are more important and second i always hated the clutter so kinda worked out both ways with this one small and no allergic reactions  ;) i can still breath and i am not all rashed out so maybe i won't be so cranky this year

I've got mine up. We decorated the tree and house on Saturday, and we had a really good time. The kids are big enough now to help without driving us nuts! hehe, looking forward to Christmas this year.

Well .... put the wreath on the door, the garland and lights on the balcony and terrrace, and the tree went up with the decorations today.  Loaded some x-mas music on the iPod for when the company comes over and got the mix to go with the x-mas liquor.  Let the holidays officially begin :drunk:!

Unfortunately... we still don't have our tree yet.. my dad hasn't trespassed on private property and chopped down a tree, maced the family on the property who call the cops because of him trespassing.. and then impale the tree directly in our living room so that our kittens can hump the stump..yeah...but if he does? I'll be DAMN sure to be busy.. I hate family tree stealing outings.. they are NOT fun.
