Thanks for that SMG  I needed that

hey what song was playing on that star trek vid ??

Young'un's  #-o   ;)

I think that's really awesome.

The songs that you have heard a jillion times are brand new to someone.

Like the 16 year old who is really into Zepplin in 2007.

Or the kid who heard "All along the Watchtower" and was blown away.

Cool....very cool.
You might be sexy Julian....but you can't teach me anything about liquor....

I know black people who don't use the word because it's disrespectful to their ancestors.  Key word:  Disrespect.

As for your question about listening to a Dr. Dre song, you're enjoying his work and it has nothing to do with race.

I'd change the avatar to: (1) show respect; and (2) it just ain't funny.

Jeez people are easily offended these days..

Dont be so intolerant, the black people who suffered under slavery don't need you to stand up for them for every single lil thing, they never asked for it & theres other ways if you really want to show respect, that doesnt say anything bout respect to me only intollerance.

IF its not used in a derogatory term theres nothing wrong with it! fuck how many times do you think you still hear the word nigger? surely 1000000000 times less then nigga. Its outdated slur, people who still use it shouldn't be taken seriously in any way in the first place. I feel like this is a moral war against someone who had no bad intentions at all..

I also feel for all your black ansesters you have lost during the slavery , it still is a very touchy subject and fresh in the heart apparently , i still have to meet someone here who feels that way though..we must be some very uncompasionate European bastards.

I for one find the line nigga plz funny obviously and use it quite often if someones bullshiting to me for instance, fuck my fav album of odb is even called Nigga PLzzzz. To me it feels very strange and even feels like people are portending to be offended just out of principles..

"im the nugga nugga, nugga nugga, you love to hate"

PS : id chance the avatar too just to avoid discussions with no end like this, it aint worth it if people get pissed over it..

Just because I get offended at the word doesn't mean I'm standing up for all black people. I'm sure they can fight their own battles.

I have no idea why you find the word funny.  Having said that, you're entitled to your opinion but maybe you should remember that others are entitled as well and for you to say people are pretending to be offended is just wrong.

Yeah, it's such an outdated slur.     I guess the documentary I saw a few weeks ago regarding the KKK and white supremacy groups (where the N word was used many a time) must be stale too - even though it was filmed in 2005.

I'm not going to get into a pissing match with you so that I can "avoid discussions with no end like this".  If you don't find the word offensive, so be it.

Sorry to hijack the thread.  More YouTube please!

sorry you're right becca thats why i said it FEELS like people are portending to be offended out of principle to me.. not saying its a fact at all . should have made that more clear probebly.Maybe it feels like that to me cause i have a hard time understanding it, doesnt mean i wont listen to the other side and respect to agree to disagree.

The kkk and other neo nazi groups are thank god in the minority now surely, like i said they shouldnt be taken serious about theyre words in any way in the first place..

I'm not going to get into a pissing match with you so that I can "avoid discussions with no end like this".  If you find the word offensive, so be it (Maybe i should put that in my signature :)).

The difference is im not pushing my opinion on others by telling them they should use the N word like in most cases does happen the other way arround, hence intolerance..

As from here on out the word viking is offensive to me and id love it if none ever used it cause its a derogatory term reffering to my ansesters who pillaged and raped 10000s of people , not something that im proud of and want to be associated with in any way.. so please if in the future every one could avoid  reffering to someone as a viking that would be verry respectful to me & the people who suffered there terror

i geuss id just like to dream about having a discussion about this without getting pissy but since people are offended in the first place its not an easy ground to start a discussion on i suppose , and really this post is not personally directed at anyone here its a cultural discussion imo.I dont think any less or different from someone who thinks the other way just trying to explain how it comes over to me, not saying that my words are facts.

This video is crap, its a contest entry I made.  It would be really nice if you guys looked at it because the contest is partly based on views.  I played the guitar myself.  See if you recognize the tune, it's an intro from a song by an 80's metal band.

Has anyone seen the film "Beaver Trilogy"? It's up on YouTube now in segments, the first one is here:

If you haven't heard of it, it's a movie in 3 parts. The 1st part is a documentary about a guy in Utah who likes to ham it up in front of the camera and ends up performing an Olivia Newton John song in drag at a local talent show.

The 2nd part is a fictional reenactment of the documentary, starring a young Sean Penn (filmed just before Fast Times at Ridgemont High came out).

the 3rd part is yet another dramatic revision, this time starring Crispin Glover, just before he got big.

So if nothing else, you get to see Sean Penn and Crispin Glover sing Olivia Newton John in drag.
"In what respect, Charlie?"
