"wow what an audience"

ME and Kizylle both watched Oysterhead yesterday and it fuckin rocked!!! SO wish i was there to breeth in the summer festival atmosphere, this sure was a good teaser. A fuckin battle of bass and guitar skills.

At a certain moment LEs brought out the electric contrabase and the other guy played a guitar with antler handles, yeah like in whats on a moos head

That sounds cool Djet,
Are you going to any festivals in person this year? They seem to be one of your favorite things to go to. Are they held in stadiums in Europe or are they outdoor field events?

Huge fields here, some smaller one on market places.

Already bought my ticket for pukelpop , going one day to see CKY
turbonegro, radiohead, babyshambles, beck... are others that play that day.

www.pukkelpop.be

and I'm trying to go to cactus festival , its in the most picturesque town of Belgium , haven't been to that festival yet but sure sounds fun. Tragically hip and Gnarls BArkley are playing there :)

http://www.cactusfestival.be/

probebly some others ill be going to but nothing preplanned. Theres always the streetfest here too ofc which is 10 days with 8-9 stages all over town

Pukkelpop looks HUGE...7 Stages and all those bands. It must suck when two bands you really want to see are playing at the same time. That festival is on at the same time as Summerfolk in Owen Sound. 6 stages but only one nighttime stage. Lot's of workshops during the day with different artists collaborating to create some pretty interesting blends of music and styles...

www.summerfolk.org

I think the cactus festival looks pretty interesting. A bit more intimate and, as you said D, very beautiful surroundings.

Have fun this summer Djet :) :6paper:

Festival fever?  Is that something you catch from walking in the water by the portapotties bare foot?  Or something you catch from the strange girl with the fire sticks that licked your face?

I've never made it to Bluesfest, although I've wanted to.  It's usually conincided with our summer trip downeast.  Maybe this year I'll go.  Some wicked good bands.  Maybe I'll see Rhianna.

Sam Roberts and Matt Mays would be a decent show if it weren't on monday.

Just got back from the first summer festival this year im sure theres more to come :)

Buffalo tom tragicly hip and gnarls barkley where the most memorable. The festival was in a park and there really was a great drunken party atmosphere going arround. Got drunk smoked like fuck and really enjoyed the bands. Videotaped 4 tragically hip songs and crazy from gnarls barkley took quite allot of pics although allot of them came out blurry cause of movement and lighting

enjoy! :)

Always enjoyed his performances at Summerfolk in Owen Sound, never a dull moment and he has some great vocal range

Holy crap, if I had the money I would so be going to pukkelpop 06'. So many bands that I'd love to see. Radiohead, The Raconteurs, HIM, Beck, Arctic Monkeys, Daft Punk, Fear Factory, cKy, Panic! At The Disco...and I'm sure if I went I'd discover a bunch of other bands that I'd like.

Looks great!! Festivities like that don't exist around these parts.
