Ottawa-Gatineau has the fastest growing economy in Canada, according to an index that measures everything from job growth to bankruptcy rates.
The surge in technology activity is playing an important role in the national capital region's impressive showing, CIBC World Markets said in a report yesterday. Government and service jobs that helped boost employment and incomes also provided significant support.
