I play bass, I've heard I'm good, the guy who organises the bands at our school said I'm the best the school has seen in 20 years. Right now I can't play worth shit seeing as I got a fractured wrist cause I went 4-wheeling stoned as fuck and went off a cliff.

Guitar. I'm just learning. I'm also a sound guy.. It's my job to make everyone sound good when on stage... not an easy task with some bands.

Right on man. My band plays metal, dunno if you've heard of these bands but we sound like a mix of Shadows Fall and Lamb of God. I love metal but it not the only thing I listen to or play bass to. One minute I'll be playing Slayer and the next it's some Funkadelic or Jaco Pastorius.

Sure, I still keep up with a lot of what's new in Metal.  If we get our asses in gear, my friends and I are going to the "Unholy Alliance" Slayer concert in T.O. this summer.  Our old band's sound fell between Celtic Frost and S.O.D. if that's possible.  Pretty maggoty but fun!

In highschool I played the tenor saxophone & guitar (classical style) mainly, but also dabbled in bass, flute, French horn & trumpet. I'd love to get back into music; a good second hand sax can run $1000, & the acoustic guitar I have wasn't the best to begin with, but after not taking it out of it's case to play for several years, it's probably warped.

In all seriousness, I dabbled in folk instruments in my youth, mostly


(note yawning doggie)

but also mandolin, banjo, harmonica, accordion (all stuff that was in the house). I even took a class in tin whistle



But mostly I sang, and that's about all I do now - Gaelic songs mostly, or anything that will get my daughter to sleep.

For a brief time in the early 90's, I fronted a Celtic band called the Bogmen - here's us at the Ben Eoin festival in Cape Breton

Guitar 11 yearz now. I play a wide varity between , progressive metal, to garage dirdy punk, Tool sounding pritty harmoniez, to speed metal... I can also rock a acoustic @ a bondfire n make shit heavy !!! Love to play baked !!!

I play melodyz to house muzik 2 !!!

Main influences are, Priest, W.A.S.P., Iron Maiden, U2, Offspring, Social Distortion.. I have alot of influences.. I listen to eveything ...

I play bass. Used to play in bands, but now I just play along with whatever mp3 playlist I cue up. I do some studio engineering for some hiphop guys. I'm glad playing music is just a hobby.

Good topic. I started out just singing, but I've played guitar for about 10 years.. self taught tho.

I have an Epiphone Casino (like the ones john and george used on Revolver and Rubber Soul).
I bought a Telecaster the other day and I have fallen very deeply in love.
My ex had a sitar made for me in New Delhi when she was backpacking.. can't really play it properly yet.. but it looks great!
Also have a Digeridoo made by the tribe near where I grew up and a Hohner blues harp. They get a workout every now and again.. but I'd be lying if I said that I could play either with any real proficiency.
