May 24 LONG WEEKEND! Any Plans?
« on: May 19, 2006, 10:23 AM »
What are everyones plans for the long weekend?

I'm thinkin' of a road trip.  Not sure what direction out of Toronto I want to get stuck in traffic in yet.  Any suggestions for destinations from the Windsor to Quebec City corridor?

Brandt: You never went to college...

The Dude: Oh, no I did, but I spent most of my time occupying various administration buildings... smoking a lot of thai stick... breaking into the ROTC... and bowling. To tell you the truth Brandt, I don't remember most of it.

You and your french cities lol ....... well lets see, I do have the option of being set up on some blind dates, but I think, that will be a big fat NAY! I also have the option of going to Toronto for a week, but since you're going to Quebec there's no point. So tonight I will decide what I'm going to do, which may consist of me shutting off the phone so I don't have to listen to the blah blah blind date blah blah junk!

My parents are making the drive up from NB to Brockville tonight to visit for the weekend.  So I'll be spending my weekend cooking and cleaning up after them.

I suspect at least 50 Tim Hortons cups will be used in the 3 days they are here.

I'm sure you will still be able to find time to watch some hockey, throw a few cold ones back and to put your feet up to relax a little bit.

Yah, interleague play is starting.  Gotta love that Colorado Rockies vs Toronto Blue Jays rivalry!   The thin air should be even better for the Jays bats!  The Subway Series should be good, I need the Mets to steal some games from the Yankees.  Hate the Yankees, hate the Yankees!

[Game 1]  Fri., May 19 Edmonton at Anaheim 9:00 p.m.
[Game 2]  Sun., May 21 Edmonton at Anaheim 9:00 p.m.
[Game 3]  Tues., May 23 Anaheim at Edmonton 8:00 p.m.

Go Oilers Go!

Bought my daughter a house (well, made a large down payment for her) and will spend the long weekend or some portion thereof helping her paint the place . . Mrs. B will be busy chasing
2 1/2 year-old Momo around the new joint.

btw - what's with the "May 24 Long Weekend"? Victoria Day is Monday the 22nd, so we get that plus Sat. and Sun., right?

That's no moon. It's a space station. Cheers!

Cool icon/avatar Reveen! reminds me of a Tool video, lol

I'm going camping this weekend, but I'm in the US now and our long weekend is next weekend and I will be going camping for that as well.  It is hard being Canadian in this country, people are always calling me a cheese head, lol :)

I hope everyone has a safe and happy weekend! :)

Yah, I've always heard the Victoria Day stat holiday referred to as May 2-4 weekend, never really knew how that propagated through society.  Do you drink 24 beers or does it usually fall on the 24th.  Who knows, all I know is that I'm gettin' out of work an hour earlier and won't have to come back until Tuesday!

Fuck, we've had a heatwave here on Van Isle all week (up to 28c), and now that the long weekend is just about here...cool and rainy.

Going camping up in the mountains, so it's gonna be chilly now.  Ah well, got some liquor, bit of weed, so I'm good to go  ;)

Yeah I'm watching the Canada game now on one of the alternate TSNs, 402 on Expressvu.  The regular TSN has the Carolina Buffalo game.
