When I was a kid I got a few baaaaaad burns in Florida while on holiday.  Laying in bed all day on my stomach with lotion on my back......peeled like crazy.

You're pretty limber if you can get sunscreen on your back.   I can get some on my neck and ass.  Everywhere else is out of reach.  Muscles are too big.

Oh the pain!!!

I've been sun burned so badly that my whole back, shoulders, neck and ears were one huge sheet of blisters.
I had a fever for 3 days and a headache from hell .... think of a migraine that won't stop for days.

THEN the fun begins when all the blisters pop and you start peeling.

yuck

Sheets of skin start falling off ... I mean ... pieces of skin the size of notebook paper start to roll up and tear away.

I don't want to think about it any more...

I had a burn like that in the part in my hair when I was a youngster; it was painful to wash my hair, but if I didn't the goo from the broken blisters made my hair disgusting. I've learned I must wear a hat so I don't have a repeat of this incident.

I've also had the foot burn similar to Reveen's experience, multiple back burns, recently the ear burn. I'm fair skinned. Right now I'm the most tanned I have been in many years (basically I have a farmer/driver's tan on my left arm!).

There is only one way to relieve a sunburn.

Panama Jack Burn relief with aloe and lidocaine.

The lidocaine is what numbs the pain and the aloe keeps your skin soft enough to only peel the topmost burned layers.  Very soothing.

In order for this to work you must follow this method:

step 1:  take a cool shower and relax.  Do NOT use any soap or shampoo or product of any kind.  Just turn your body slowly under a cool mist of water.

step 2:  get out of the shower and gently pat yourself dry with a soft towel.

step 3:  slather on a generous amount of the aforementioned product.  (I got it from Shopper's Drug Mart.. it's in a clear bottle and is a lovely soothing blue gel)

step 4:  exit the bathroom and put Jimi Hendrix's "Freedom" on the stereo.

step 5: dance around your house completely naked and feel the cool air on your skin.*

step 6:  etc...  do what you're gonna do while drinking lots of water.  I've given my advice.  Please kids, try this at home and let me know if it works for you as well as it worked for me.

Step 5 sounds great! I'm just imagining......  :D :perv1:
