Anyone Havin' A Really Good Day
« on: May 08, 2006, 10:25 AM »
...... cause I'm not.

First, ya gotta understand where I'm comin from here.  Yesterday was my BD [thanks for all the birthday greetings folks :)] and I went to dinner with my family. After that, let's just say I had a little party of my own  :beermug: :6paper: that resulted in me gettin to bed at 5:30 am.  I *seriously* felt like Ricky did at the begining of S6E4 yesterday only with me it was Jack Daniels.

Then, at 7:10 am the fire alarm in my building goes off - 135 db screach goin' in my bedroom .  So I get up and decide to hit the paint store as I needed more paint [painting my place].  I get to my car and someone has customized my car by breaking the front passanger window and removing my cell and my cd case.  Nice - got a $1,000 deductible on my policy so ya gotta know that's comin' out of my pocket.  FWIW, 8 other cars in my underground got hit as well.  It's all on camera [multiple angles just like Lahey lol] but the cops don't give a shit about this kind of stuff here.

So I hit the paint store after getting and extra large black coffee.  Dood in from of me on the road decides to slam on his brakes as he missed a parking spot.  Coffee all over my shirt, pants, and carpet of the car.  Then, I get pulled over by the biggest, fatest, oldest cop I've ever seen.  Buddy pulls me over for - get this - 35 kmh [22 mph] in a 30 kmh zone [19 mph] and proceeds to give me a $27.50 speeding ticket .  Took everything I had not to snap on him.

So ... as ya can tell DAF is NOT havin' a good day.  Sorry for the rant but I'm just super pissed right now and feel like crap.

Someone PLEASE tell me they're havin a great day as today is really suckin' for me lol!

I wish I could say I was having a good day but I found out today that my paypal account was hacked over the weekend and I lost $200! On top of that I got a really nasty email from my dad about the inheritance from my grandpas estate, not gonna go into detail about it but lets just say if I don't get an apology from him he may have burned a bridge across the Atlantic.

DAF I can sympathise with you on the car break in. I had 3 windows broken out of 2 different cars in less than 9 months time. CD's, tools, prescription sunglasses(useless to anyone but me, but they said "ray-ban" on them). I sincerely hope your week gets better my friend.

PS. Doesn't the coffee in the lap just piss you off? And a ticket for 5kph over the limit would sent me to the edge.

thanks for the kind words folks - it's helpin me calm down a little. Sorry you're havin' a crappy day ET :(.  My neighbour told me to "make the most" of my car break in as he plans to.  He said to "remember" that I had my MP3 player, my laptop, and my Treo in the car when it was broken into and now they are all gone .  I can't do that as not only is it fraud I couldn't live with myself if I faked a claim like that.  I had big plans for the day today and now my big plan is to make ti THROUGH today.

Sybil Fawlty: Don't shout at me, I've had a difficult morning.
Basil Fawlty: Oh dear, what happened? Did you get entangled in the eiderdown again? Not enough cream in your eclair? Hmm? Or did you have to talk to all your friends for so long that you didn't have time to perm your ears?

Well ... my day has taken a turn for the better.  I went to the autoglass place and buddy there felt sorry for me and supplied and installed a new window for $100 cash - good deal.  Then I headed over to my tinter whose tinted all my cars and trucks.  He felt for me and tinted the window to match the others for no charge.

So here I sit about 3 Corona's deep thinkin' I'm going to bed soon and I'll give life another try tomorrow - it's gotta be a better day tormorrow right lol ???

Glad your day got better DAF. That's nice about the deal and free tint.Life's funny eh? A shitty thing happened to you but as a result someone else was able to offer up an act of kindeness[which is always a good thing].

I guess we need the shitty things in life to help us recognize the good.

Sorry to hear about your troubles, DAF & ET. Glad your day brightened up a bit though, DAF.

My day started out okay but deteriorated...

The vet called this afternoon to tell me my cat is not doing well. I took her in yesterday morning to be spayed. She's running a fever now, is being given IV fluids and needs to be kept another night for observation.

My Mom called about two hours after that. She had a doctor's appointment today and will be undergoing testing but her doctor is pretty sure it's type II diabetes. Hooray for heredity!  :P

My Mom also took one of her dogs, and a cherished member of the family, to the vet today. Turns out the dog has either had a stroke or has a tumor on her spine.

And finally, my Mom remembered to tell me today that my sister-in-law is having a lump removed from her breast on Thursday.

Not looking for sympathy just trying to put this suck-ass day into perspective. My sense of humor is still intact so I'm going to be fine.

Hey DD - sorry to hear about your day.  Hope everything works out for ya.  Hang in there - tomorrow is gonna be a better day.  Today was a better day for me than yesterday so that whole "tomorrow will be a better day" deal DOES work.  FWIW, I also believe in karma - and my name isn't even Earl ;).

I think ya hit on a key point DD - when things are down you've got to keep your sense of humour as sometimes that seems like the only thing that keeps ya from snappin.  Now if you'' excuse me I'm off to pick up my S5 DVD [and some more Corona] :).

Well yesterday was not such a good day for me and I'm sorry about everyone else's weeks not going too great!

As some of you know my cookbook got accepted at an online publishing company, they asked me to do some revisions, so all this time is going by (well not that long but you all know how excited I am about it lol) not hearing anything back and I'm like WTF, are they stealing my shit? Because I've never worked with them before so, ofcourse crazy stuff is going through my head right and I sent in the revisions like 2 days later (from the date that I originally posted here in the forum) to only find out that they NEVER got the damn things!

Some dickhead did a chargeback for 5K with one of my businesses for work that he got and sent me emails that he was fucking SATISFIED with and thank freakin hell I backup my emails and save my ICQ conversations with clients --- what a dirty freakin S.O.B. (sorry but I'm STILL really pissed about this). And needless to say my bank IS going to dispute it after spending god knows how many hours bitching and freaking out yesterday and this morning.

oh and BTW i forgot to mention that was almost 4 freaking months ago that he ordered and got his stuff!

So after this crazy B.S. yesterday and today, I go to the LC get me some vodka, then head over to Starbucks to grab a French Vanilla iced frappuccino (ya know to mix the vodka in lol), buy it, go to the bathroom, mix it up, same shit I always do and there's a lady in there, wigging out because she saw my vodka bottle ..............oh WAH, cry me a river lady, I'm 34 years old, if I want to drink and am not causing shit, leave me ALONE! (I think she ratted me out to the girls that were working but they don't care, given the money I spend in there LOL)

My one room mates mother still has NOT went freakin home and for some reason I think I'm being lied to about her just "visiting". You know i'm a really hospitable type of person, but this lady is driving me nuts and right now, I'm being a bitch, but I just want our house back to normal ...... so she's either jamming out to Disturbed or having a coronary atm while I've got the speakers blowing, suckin back some vodka, with my FV frappuccino LOL

ah well what DJ said what comes around is all around LOL
