True but what she SAYS in the creapiest part of all.  Give her a few more pickets and I'm sure someone will shut her down one way or another.

I think it's a combination of both .....anyone who can sit there and say that shit and smile, is fucked!, Apparently they're all a bunch of inbreds too from what I was reading last night, and supposedly they are lawyers as well (they have a firm web site) ........ someone did try to bomb their house or something like that, I read a brief article about it last night (was too tired lol). The guy says it was a prank and giant firecracker, they say a bomb.......who knows lol.

I'm shocked no one has pointed out yet...the sad fact that Fox News gave this woman air time. Just another setup so Sean Hannity could go off on a "hate riff" of his own, only to have Alan Colmes throw a few soft blows to a woman who is clearly deranged. This woman wasn't worth the segment of news...and yet somehow the producers of Fox thought this was the angle to cover the story!?

I'm so sick of the tabloid, sensationalism and exploitation in news coverage. CNN is just as guilty. If Anderson Cooper, the savior of CNN, says "Miss'ippi" in one of his Prada camp shirts one more time, I'll literally explode. Maybe the aftermath of my head exploding will stain his $1500 dollar "should have been a Red Cross Donation" wardrobe. The American people should be outraged at alot of things...the still sad state of affairs after Katrina, the new Vietnam we've got going in Iraq, the deplorable state of education, the environment and energy problems, and our overall health in our own country. And not to mention our ever-dwindling relations with our allies and the fact that there's genocide going on in Africa, and the instability of the southern portion of the former USSR and Korea that we are doing so little about.  No, no, no...we're too concerned that Tom Cruise isn't changing his baby's diapers or with Lindsey Lohan's substance abuse/anorexia/flashing problem. Oh..and Iran's got nukes. And they hate us. (Thanks Condoleeza. I had NO idea!)

End rant... ;)

And your so right! In Europe she would never make TV , maybe a lil collum in the local nuthouse papers.

And that was even on Fox news?? I still think its hilariously wrong and fun too watch , mainly cause we don't have such wackos like that walkin around here. They're deffently kind of extremely rare here and i think in a way part of your culture.

I agree SouthernBelle, everyone is entitled to their point of view. Why waste the time interviewing her. Ya, she's sick,  and while she's ranting on (not even listening to the quetions), he's ranting on, about how wrong she is. Somewhere along the way, she twisted the Bible around to suit herself and her beliefs, the same way many other religions do. She's nothing new, and if her "church" only has about 80 members, then they're not much of a threat. As for the Anderson Cooper comments, I agree with those as well. I mean, thanks for bringing the story to the rest of the world, but I wonder how many journalists and their crew went to bed in a warm, safe hotel room the night after they interviewed these poor people. Many I'm sure, were dropped off by helicopters for a bit to get their footage, and then picked up later on, and brought to safety, cause the network paid for it. In the meantime, thousands are left to suffer in the filth of the aftermath of the hurricane. Now who's sick?

Djet, there are wackos everywhere in the world. Our country just celebrates the "wacko" in its natural habitat.

KarateCollie, that lady drank the hate kool-aid. I'm willing to bet she handles snakes as well. At least she should. Very poisonous ones. Now.

By the way....Anyone notice who is the new White House press secretary? Class-A Douchebag Tony Snow, former Fox news anchor. What does it prove? Absolutely nothing we didn't already know. Fox News openly supports the Bush administration. The silver lining I guess can be found in that it isn't Sean Hannity, Brit Hume or god forbid, Tucker Carlson, the bow-tied boy-wonder.

That last bit is for shake... ;)

Ranting makes my world a better place...

Well Rebecca, I agree with everything that you stated which would be one of the main reasons I don't watch too much television in general, let alone the news. If something is newsworthy, someone usually posts about it and I can view it online, because what the news media views as being newsworthy and what we view as being newsworthy, has and always will be two different things and chances are even highly exagerrated.

Prime example and being that I am a fan of Kevin Smith's it interested me to learn about this a while back.

I can't remember the specfic date at the moment, but the media created this "supposed feud" between Ben Affleck and Kevin Smith based on a small clip, I personally viewed the clip and there's was NO possible way it could have been misinterpreted as them actually feuding. it was MORE than clear that they were joking around and yet it got twisted and turned into something that just wasn't there and was being published all over the place.

And now really is that story important enough that it deserved the attention that it did? NO it's not, there are more important issues going on in the world but it's all about television ratings, god forbid the media spent an entire week doing coverage on homeless people, poverty, people starving etc. then maybe I'd start watching TV and the news again.

About the clip, I do however think that IF she is really a practicing attorney and members of her family are too that they should all have their licenses revoked and be stripped of any right to practice law.

Not to be a smart ass, but she probably picked up a few new members since that clip was aired, because sadly there are more people in the world that think like her and today that clip has been floating all over myspace. Which is why I don't understand why they gave her airtime either, there are some things that should just not be on TV (hence one of the reasons I always get bent out of shape when I see people bitching about the TPB show) ....... like you're more worried about that .........then WAY more important issues? Come on!

Great post SB. So true, especially the part about the public{ I include canada here too} being more interested in Celebrity going's on than the important things that affect us all. What great days to be a politition. No one gives a shit what you do....we're far too interested in being numbed and dumbed by what passes as "news" these days.

Compliance and control will last as long as apathy prevails.

People like that really worry me and make me glad I'm not a member of any organized religion.
Watch the whole video, her entire family is whacked. Her father lead a protest at the Holocaust memorial calling the murder of 6 million people  "minuscule".

I'm sure it's not what you mean but you're vaguely implying that all members of "organized" religion have extremest views.

My apologies, I did not mean to imply that all members of organized religions are extremists. I can see how that statement could be taken that way. Again, my apologies to anyone offended. What I should have said is that people like that make me glad I'm an atheist.

Good call RnC.
