That rocks, R the V! The seats will probably be pretty good as radio stations usually get 'em close. Especially the greaheeheezy ones  :D

Just purchased my ticket for the Helix show March 20th in Owen Sound. 8) I've been talking to Brian Volmer on facebook and he knows I'm coming and is looking forward to seeing me again. My band used to share a rehearsal space in Kitchener 20 years ago but he still remembered who I was. I'll try and get pictures with my new camera.

Tickets are in the mail for Queens of the Stone Age in Halifax May 13th. I got so excited to find out they are playing here, I cried a little... Then I punched myself in the face to man up.

BOSTON: More Tour Dates Announced Starting With Thunder Bay, Ontario.

The legendary band BOSTON will headline the outdoor festival at Marina Park on Friday, June 6 in Thunder Bay, Ontario, at one of the Canadian stops of the Great Race 2008. The 'round-the-globe motor sports event will be making a pit stop in Thunder Bay as a part of its centennial anniversary. The show kicks off a summer of stadium, concert and festival dates that will span the United States and Canada.

BOSTON will be bringing two new recruits on tour this year. Singer/songwriter/guitarist Michael Sweet, the veteran STRYPER frontman, will both sing and trade riffs with Gary Pihl and Tom Scholz on guitar. Unexpected phenomenon Tommy DeCarlo, the fan that posted his BOSTON covers on his MySpace page and ended up on stage, will also be belting out the classics that skyrocketed the band to worldwide fame.

Many remember where they were when they first heard "More Than A Feeling" or "Hitch A Ride" on the airwaves back in 1976. BOSTON's self-titled first album has sold over 17 million copies to date, and was the highest-selling debut of all time. It remains a rock classic, and has seen a resurgence in sales after it was remastered by Scholz, along with their second album, "Don't Look Back", in 2006. "Amanda", off 1986's "Third Stage", shot to the top of the charts and held a record-breaking stay at #1, in spite of being the only hit single that year not accompanied by a TV video.

With over 30 million albums sold worldwide, hits like "Peace of Mind", "Smokin'" and "Rock And Roll Band" are still as ubiquitous on rock and roll radio as they were when they were new. BOSTON will be performing hits from all five studio albums, including many of their classics, and some fan favorites that have not been played live for many years.

Upcoming BOSTON shows:

Led Zeppelin "preliminary" talks "confirmed" for Toronto

May 26, 2008 - 5:21 am
A spokesperson for Skydome told the Globe and Mail on Thursday that preliminary discussions are indeed under way for Led Zeppelin to play that venue in August. The schedule of the Blue Jays, among other things, however, would make it fairly tough to fit the four rumoured shows into the August time slot, but stadium communications manager Nadia Flamm did tell the Globe and Mail that "it is my understanding that some preliminary discussions are going on" about what would be Zeppelin's first North American shows in 20 years.

I'm sure they have a few "Back-up" days set aside just in case a game gets postponed. At least they'd better not fuck up a Led Zeppelin show.

the jays are on the road from Aug 11-17 but the Bills Steelers game is the 14th so that chunk of days are likely out.  the are on the road again the last 7 days of august, so that would likely be the time

just to let you guys know some of Rich's equipment and un-replaceable footage (that they were collecting for a DVD release) was stolen from the show in Victoria... if anyone around that area hears anything I'm sure he would be glad to hear from you, they just want the footage back.

check http://www.buck65.com for more details

Victoria police are investigating the theft of recording equipment valued at $5,000 stolen from the Buck 65 concert last night (Thursday).

Buck was playing to a packed house at Alix Goolden Hall when our tour manager discovered the theft at about 11:30 p.m. PT.

Among the items stolen from the soundstage area were audio and recording gear and about 40 hours of footage that had been recorded over the past three weeks that was to be made into a DVD.

We are appealing to those responsible for the theft to return the video footage, which is invaluable and can't be replaced. There will be no questions asked.

If you have any information about this unfortunate incident, please contact management at piershenwood@telus.net, or 250 995 2642.

From Buck 65's website:

May 28, 2008
The missing videotapes, containing Buck 65 footage from his recent Canadian tour – stolen during the artist’s May 8th concert in Victoria at the Alix Goolden Performance Hall – have been recovered!

It is believed that the person who stole the tapes and equipment left the tapes in an envelope near a mailbox just outside of Victoria in an effort to return the tapes anonymously.

Luckily the tapes were picked up and word managed to reach us that they had been found.

$5000 worth of cameras and equipment are still missing.

Thanks to all who contacted us regarding submitting their footage, we still plan to use it for the DVD.
