I would love to go rollerskating, I have a pair that fits me! The coolest roller rink in Hamilton was Roller Gardens; I spent many school trips there!

We used to hit the "Astrodome" on a regular basis back in the day.  Thing that freaked me out was that since I could roller skate no problem I thought I'd able to deal with rollerblades not problem in the 90's ... Ahhhhhhhhh no lol

LMAO well now i don't feel like the only one who used to go hehehe - and I can't believe there are roller rinks still in existance. And yeah I've tried roller blading - that's not a sport for me ....... I'm like the ultimate klutz sometimes and rollerblading has that written all over it for me.

I used to go to the Stardust back in the day.  It was a great place for teens to hang out on week-ends and meet people, if you know what I mean. ;)
A few years ago I bought some in-line roller blades so I could keep up with my son.  The only problem was that they don't stop as well as the older type of skates.  I found that I had to crash into a pole in order to stop, so I returned my skates and gave up that hobby!

Yep, been there.  I loved rollerskating!  When I lived in Vancouver I used to go rollerblading after work.  I started at False Creek on 1st Ave, went around Science World, through Yaletown, English Bay, cut through the park to start on the Sea Wall at Stanley Park (Georgia St.), go ALL away around the wall, then back home again.    The hardest thing was refraining from throwing my hands up in the air and shakin my booty while I listen to my discman.  I love summers in Vancouver,  the sea wall, the sun, the beaches, the mountains.....  the motorcycles parked in front of Starbucks on Robson and Thurlow....*sigh* I miss my bike......  well at least I have my rollerblades...got me SOME wheels there....haha

Bwahahaha!! One year for Christmas all I asked for was an eyeshadow compact that had only neon pink & bright blue in it! (I was only like 8 & never wore make-up)
Next year when we're all together in Nova Scotia we should rent out a roller rink & all go roller skating! ;)

I went so much I even bought my own skates...black with the biggest pink pompoms with bells...and I probably had a pair of legwarmers too, just like trailerchick...its what all the fashionable skater girls wore     :camera:

Well I had a pair like this ... except mine had fancy laces and pom-pom's on them! And uh Trailer Chick think you forgot your legwarmers at my place LOL (I had some kick ass neon legwarmers!) and a few like this, also had some that had flecks of gold and silver in them too ..... I'm sure you ladies know what I'm talking about.

Melba if I went rollerskating again, I'd prolly fall over and don't think I'd be able to bust a move like I did back in the day!

P.S. anyone see that episode of that 70's show where Eric gets busted for roller skating? freakin hilarious!

That's it, tomorrow I'm getting out my Jump Rope for Heart leg warmers, strapping on my roller skates, making my bangs go as high as possible, attaching my Walkman to my stirrup pants & heading down to the beach! Anyone want to join me?

(google image doesn't like stirrup pants too much).... hey and don't forget your blue eye shadow and satin jacket, it might be chilly out LOL ....... better yet you had better bring a windbreaker, if it warms up you can always roll into it's pouch and put it around your waist anyway LOL

True J_W!! I'll make sure to bring my fanny pack because stirrup pants have no pockets! Here's what I have so far, the leg warmers & skates.
