Rules & General Guidelines for Posting

Rules & Posting Guidelines for www.TrailerParkBoys.org

This is meant to be a guideline, for you to base the content that you post on. It's not set in stone, and is bound to change & grow as needed, or as we see fit. You should check this semi-regularily for changes.

Most of this is just common courtesy, but even at the best of times may fail us all. We needed to make a list, so no one could use an excuse for not knowing, and that we can refer members to, if they are bending them too much.

Thank you all for your suggestions - as you see we've implemented just about everything the users asked for in terms of rules (we only enforce the rules, they were made by the members to create a positive environment for all). This thread will be locked, so if you have anything more to add to the list or suggest to remove, feel free to send a PM to one of the mods/admin, and we'll get right on it.

1. No sexist, ageist, racist, homophobic or other types of bigoted or abusive insults/comments, we want POSITIVE talk only.

2. Fighting - there's never any need for this here, TPB & friends is what we're preaching. Starting fights or continuing to fight with other members will NOT be tolerated.

3. No “conspiracy theories” or pointing fingers at other members. Such matters should be reported via Private Message to any Moderator or Admin. You can also click on the “Report to moderator” button too. Please DO NOT discuss this in any public forum.

4. No flaming, no return flaming (insults, namecalling, etc..) - such posts get deleted and the perpetrators will earn their 1st warnings. Warnings and deletions can occur regarding conduct covered in items 1, 2 and 3 as well.

5. There is NO limit on posts per day. However, if people are having their own private “MSN” chats within threads, they will be asked to use Private Messaging for further discussion. There is also the Chat and the Shoutbox too. This is just to keep things easy to read for everyone, without clogging up topics with irrelevant stuff.

6. We will be instating Jim Lahey’s method of recidivist removal. Offending users will receive written warnings in triplicate (actually 3 separate warnings). After that we escort them to the park gate, and let them stay behind the King of Donair’s for 24 hours to cool down. If after that time period they still do not wish to heed warning, we send them packing for Con College. It will be dealt with behind the scenes, as not to disrupt the site, topics, or members.. We ask, also if you see something breaking these few simple (mostly common sense) rules, to just hit the Report to Moderator button - and staff will be notified, and handle things accordingly, at their own discretion.

7. Try to keep things clean & decent - use your judgement. Everything has a place somewhere, just make sure you get it in the right spot.

8. Rapid, repetitive and empty posts will be deleted, and with a warning in extreme cases. (this will be considered spamming)

9. Only one user per IP address.

Thank you.

Rules & Posting Guidelines

Welcome to the forum! The following items are guidelines for you to base the content you post, and   to ensure a fun and friendly forum environment. These guidelines are not set in stone, and may change or grow as needed, or as we see fit. Most of these guidelines are just common courtesy, but even at the best of times this may fail us all. We have made this list so no one has an excuse for not knowing, and that we can refer members to, if they are bending the rules too much.

1. No sexist, ageist, racist, homophobic or other types of bigoted or abusive insults/comments - we want POSITIVE talk only.

2. Fighting - there's no need for this here. Starting fights or continuing to fight with other members will NOT be tolerated.

3. No “conspiracy theories” or pointing fingers at other members. No   flaming or return flaming (including insults, name calling, etc.) Such   posts will be deleted and the perpetrators will earn their first   warning.

4. If you see another member violating the above guidelines, matters should be reported via Private Message to any moderator or admin. You can also click on the “Report to Moderator” button too. If you report another member for a violation, please DO NOT discuss this in the public forum - the moderators will deal with it. Warnings, post deletions, and bans can occur regarding conduct covered in items 1, 2 and 3.

5. There is NO limit on posts per day, and we encourage you to participate in the forum as much as you want. However, if people are having their own private chats within threads, they will be asked to use Private Messaging for further discussion. This is just to keep threads easy to read for everyone, without clogging them up with irrelevant or off-topic stuff.

6. Please post only if you have something meaningful to contribute to the conversation. This helps to advance the conversation and helps to prevent a thread from being filled with "me too" comments or just smilies.

7. Troublemakers will receive a warning via PM. If the offender receives three warnings and still does not heed the mod/admin’s warning, they will be banned from the site. These actions will be dealt with behind the scenes so as not to disrupt the site, topics, or members. The moderators reserve the right to ban anyone from the site without applying the ‘three strikes rule’.

8. Try to keep posts friendly and decent, and use your judgement. Every post has a place somewhere,   just make sure you get it in the right forum/thread – the mods reserve the right to move or amend posts as they see fit. If you have a question, please search the boards or consult our FAQs section before posting.

9. Rapid, repetitive and empty posts will be deleted, and with a warning in extreme cases (this will be considered spamming). Please do not make posts containing links to other products/companies in   your first post, this could be construed as spamming and is not permitted.

10. Only one user per IP address – if you wish to change your username, please contact a moderator.

11. Please be respectful to the cast and crew of the show, as well as to fellow members of the forum. We will not tolerate posts related to unfounded rumours/gossip about anyone’s private life.

12. Please be aware that the content and atmosphere of the show is adult-oriented; we have a liberal attitude towards use of language etc., but please bear in mind the above guidelines, particularly when posting mature content. Please do not post pornography or links to porn sites.

If you have anything more to add to the list or suggest to remove, feel free to send a PM to one of the mods/admin, and we'll do our best to address your questions.

Thank you.
