« on: Apr 15, 2006, 10:12 PM »
I got a few complaints and was just wondering what the overall opinion was.

I don't like the new setup with the sub-forums. I think it was better before. There aren't that many forums so it just seems unnecessary.

Kinda confused me at first.

Kidding aside, the new look took a minute to get used to. But when the initial shock(and the drugs)wore off I was navigating it like swampboat racer on speed.      :donkey:

I like the new smileys by the way.

I really didn't like it at first , but , as with all changes , I'm getting used to it.

I do think that Introductions should be a stand alone section. There have been several confused newbies in there already......

what would be the other options?  I just realized what these things are you are referring to.  To me, I'm neither here nor there.  Whatever is here is what I'll use.

I find with the child forums I have to do more clicking to get around, I liked the previous format better.

I've been noticing that I miss topics if I don't read all the posts since my last visit.. I wouldn't have seen the error topic in tech support if I wasn't using a RSS program to fetch the latest headlines. Just curious what everyone else thought.

Yeah I voted I don't like it because it's harder to get around. Which is the only thing that I do not like about it. Just more clicking. So what I guess I am really trying to say is.. What Shake said  :P

The key is to just use the tiny links on the main page to get to the sub forums.......Im pretty much used to it now and I just click Sports from the mainpage just as easily as I did before but there isnt as much clutter.

Thats just my opinion though and we really want everyones input so we can decide whether to change it back or keep it how it is now

Something has changed with the structure of the different topic sections. I think that it's working for me , and I even like it. The the "Off Topic" is great!

Tried to do some tinkering :)
I wanted to get the most active forums more visible/accessible - will probably keep a few child forums for the least active sections to limit the clutter though.
