Even though I am more or less a newbie at the org.  Big Congrats to the org for rolling over the 1000 member mark.  Thanks to all of the moderators for their time!

Brandt: You never went to college...

The Dude: Oh, no I did, but I spent most of my time occupying various administration buildings... smoking a lot of thai stick... breaking into the ROTC... and bowling. To tell you the truth Brandt, I don't remember most of it.

Actually after the spring cleaning we lost a few hundred unused members, so we are rolling over 1000 again.

But its nice to celebrate the org!  :irishtoast:

How did you decide who to delete? Many people have never posted but as someone once said they may just be lurkers. Did you base it on the amount of time passed since their last login?

Yeah, I noticed a week ago or so that the member list lost a lot of weight. I assume it's people who join and don't ever post or people who have not posted for a long time.

:irishtoast: SKÅL to the org and all its fine members :irishtoast:

Although I'm a big-time newbie here, I'd still like to give a "big ups" to the mods and all the members!

 :notworthy:   :congrats:

Basically I look at when they registered, when they last logged in, if they ever logged in, and how many posts they have, etc..

Many users had not even activated their accounts in a number of months, so they were removed as well.. Usually if I see a person who has been active, but not in a while - the board will send them an email with a link to re-activate their account or let them know it was going to be removed soon.

Haven't had any complaints so far I don't think though.

Yah I could never understand why theres so many names registered but not activated.....it says you need a valid email addy to activate it....

Maybe some junk filters catch it before people can read it.
