Yeah I quit that damned paper route, and the guy claims he's gonna take me to court over 40 bucks, becasue i quit so i kept 40 bucks because the wasnt gonna mapy me my 90., can he take me to court over this.?

No, his lawyer will cost more than 40 bucks.  Just don't use him as a reference for future jobs.

Your employer does not need a lawyer for small claims court. But I agree with T-bag, it is very unlikely they will go after you for $40. - btw, how do you know he wasn't gonna pay you what he owes?

he told me that he wasnt paying me and he was gonna take money out of my account till he found a new paper boy, i told him to fuck off, and left a message on is machine, jaye are you a big boy now pressing charges? woo jaye your all big boy now, im keeping the money, im not crying about this like some people, through another hissy fit.

when i called and told him i quit he almost cried, he puased for ten minutes, his voice quavered and he say whatever and hung up hahahah/.

i used to have an early morning (4:00am) paper route in junior high,-Saturday and Sunday. Actually I assisted our retired nextdoor neighbour - we used his car. But it was still a bitch - cranky customers - rain, folding and packaging - my least favourite shit-job - well almost. Another topic.

I don't know about Canada (I'm guessing you're in Canada IJ?) but in the U.S., you have to pay your employee what you owe him, unless you have a legitimate reason to fire him. Since you quit, that bastard owes you money. But since you kept the $40, he doesn't have to give it to you until you return it. I assume you're not going to (and I don't blame you), so he won't do anything, as he doesn't have a leg to stand on and could only lose money. It's a bluff.

Yeah I just got off the phone with him, the first thing he said was he didn't cry hahah, he says that this girls gonna collect my money, and im gonna get credited.
