William S. Burroughs For Ghostdog

Pursuant to an exchange between yrs truly and the legendary Mr. Ghostdog, over on a thread about tattoos - i was asked to post an unpublished photo I took of the author of "Naked Lunch" at an autograph and interview session here in Toronto in 1981 -
(i will try to post the pic in this thread, this is my copyright 1981/2004) - Mr. Burroughs was mischievous, dry humoured and very thin. The other man in my photo is the famous Canadian poet - Al Purdy! He just happened to come by. WSB had no idea who our bard was  -
So got any autographed stuff you wanna share? Or questions about my little encounter? (there you are dawg!) :D !

You are more than welcome, Dawg! Can you see the beret on the right-hand side of the photo? on the desk? Burroughs wore that hat when he arrived and when he left. He tried to be friendly with my junky writer friend - but my guy was so fucked up - he said -"Just your name and the date" - i thought Billy would cry - seriously! He had been rather dry and cool until "Verne" got into the seat. Very funny!
