KORN...with profanity bleeped out...from a [local] rural radio station that plays heavy and alternative music in the evenings. CKBW fm (98.1 FM) in Bridgewater Nova Scotia. Toggling between the former and Q104.3 FM, which is dependent on which is projectin' the better tune at any given moment. I prefer discrete CD selections, however, the radio is less effort.

Miles Davis/Tutu...an outstanding jazz album!...According to many ...jazz aficionados. (11:12 pm Local time)

Bob James, Morning, Noon & Night...more sweet jazz! (11:58 pm Local time (Nova Scotia) Friday 17th September 2004)

No neighbours - no problem(s) regarding late evening bass notes, with the exception of the resident rabbit, deer and the like.

"Heroin" -Lou Reed

I don’t know just where I’m going
But I’m gonna try for the kingdom if I can
‘Cause it make me feel like I’m a man
When I put a spike into my vein
Then I tell you things aren’t quite the same
When I’m rushing on my run
And I feel just like Jesus’ son
And I guess that I just don’t know
And I guess that I just don’t know.

Newly acquired AUDIOSLAVE CD, in its entirety. Creating a great ambience prior to the midday feast.
"A man's gotta EAT" - Randy
"Act like ya-gno-me (you-know-me)." – Bubbles
"I just don’t understand invest-ah-mints." – Ricky
"Kiss my hand. Phuck-off, I got work to do." – Cyrus

In the run towards the US presidential election I'm starting my day with the same song I've started every day with lately, "Election Day" by Arcadia (Duran Duran in disguise)
"I'll pull my shot off and pray, we're coming up on re-election daaayy"
"..shouldn't be asking WHY-  lets STEAL IT.  It'll be *MY* Election day..."

--I keep trying to find a duet Tom Yorke from Radiohead did with a pretty female singer sometime back in the '90's called "Kill the President".  For some reason this track is really really hard to find now.  Anyone remember or have a clue?

--Genesis, Mama.  Collins' voice was never better in his whole career than this one song... shame to peak on the first album, but awesome song....

-Reminds me of someone I've known...

Witch-Ho,

I prefer Genesis when Peter Gabriel was the lead singer and Phil Collins was primarily drummin'. ‘Selling England By the Pound’, ‘The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway’...were, in my view, superior Genesis works. The latter genre of Genesis metastasized into a largely commercial entity. I do, however, enjoy a few tunes from the post Gabriel era, but just a few. Sorry to disagree, but I cut my teeth on some pretty vintage rock-jazz-fusion music in the early 70's, and later witnessed many bands wither to a lesser form.

Cheers,

Oh, that's what I meant by first album, I meant first album fronted by Collins (and the only good one if you ask me) -yes I knew the Gabriel connection but I don't even consider them to be the same band!
