Chillin and listening to "it was supposed to be so easy." by The Streets, but you really gotta listen to the whole "a grand don't come for free" CD in sequence cause its fucking amazing.

The Streets are amazing. I liked their first album original pirate material better than a grand don't come for free, but both albums are amazing.

btw BK, im listening to California by Deathcab for cutie, its good...almost sounds like they are live on most of the songs i've heard of them.
it's more than just a walkie.

I haven't even heard that one! there's a lot of Death cab songs I haven't heard actually. I want to get the CDs and support them though, so I'll wait until Christmas.

Ya I know that The Streets is just one man... Mikeeee Skinner.
Original Pirate Material is a wicked CD. But I love the whole feel and storytelling aspect of A Grand Don't Come For Free.
Its definitely my favourite.

Just ordered Warren Zevon, Audioslave and Al DiMeola CDs from Columbia House - the other day. Now, however, Jethro Tull is playin' in the background.

Last evening FN and I reminisced about Bill Bruford, drummer extraordinaire from King Crimson and Yes (eclectic British bands from the early 1970's). I wish I could acquire some quality CD recordings from that era, albeit at reasonable prices.

Cheers,

Witch-Ho,

Thanks   for the positive remark. I used to be a disc jockey in high school (1975-1978), and hosted radio shows during free periods. Needless to say I was into some pretty eclectic shit  , namely: Gentle Giant ( http://www.blazemonger.com/GG/ ), Frank Zappa, Quiet Sun ( http://www.btinternet.com/~stephen.yarwood/quiet_sun.htm ), Mahavishnu Orchestra ( http://airjudden.tripod.com/jazz/mahavishnuorchestra.html ), et cetera. And if you (Witch-Ho) truly appreciate Kind Crimson than I'm sure we could get along swimmingly :) . Most people that I am close to do not tend to listen to King Crimson, and the like :o . Though we do share other, more modern, genres of music (jazz, new age, alternative, heavy metal (dick!)).

I was gonna watch some NFL football this evening - Indianapolis Colts at New England Patriots. After this post, however, my immediate craving is for tunes :!:

Chow fur now,

The Fugs- CIA Man
A great political satire band from the 60's (actually they are still around, but the early stuff was so raw that it was great(Rolling Stone Mag actually gave them 5 stars). Their more recent stuff that I have heard isn't so good, as it is a bit more polished.) Anyways ,I just downloaded some of their first album, and it brought back some great memories from my childhood, and then my teen years, when my dad and I turned my friends on to them and to....
