Hey! Still plugging away at RE4, huh? What part of the game are you on? RE4 for PS2 is more than just a Game Cube export. There are added levels and weapons. You can see them here:

I've always been amazed by the popularity of The Sims. I've only played the original. Who would have thought that a video game based on carrying out everyday mundane chores would be so addictive?

I'm feeling nostalgic and have been wasting time with the comforts of "Necromancer" in Diablo II Lord of Destruction.  It's such a Pavlovian game, stimulus=response.  Best item drops ever hands down.  And to this day it looks cool, for a top down isometric perspective game from the turn of the milenium (or earlier I'm not sure).

Hey wait, I was just in the desert around Lut Gholein when I started posting here, what the hell was I up to again?  Ha see ya!

Infinite rocket launcher! Holy cow, sweettrailerparkgirl, you must be just ploughing through the enemies...especially those bastards with the Wolverine type claws. What other perks come with clearing the game? I'm sure the least times you die and/or save, the better the bonus. I don't own any video game consoles so I've only played RE games at friend's houses.

The Ada Wong "Separate Ways" portion of RE4 on PS2 looks awesome. Finishing the Leon portion already requires about 20 to 24 hours. The "Separate Ways" addition is a real bonus. Of course you'll have to finish the game with Leon first. My neighbour, another huge RE fan, was really pissed off that RE4 was initially only for Game Cube. I'm sure he'll get the PS2 version. Looks like I'll be spending some time at his house :)

RE2 was a blast to play. Some people complained about all the puzzles, but I love that stuff. My favourite puzzle was combining the chemicals in the correct sequence to create an herbicide to kill that giant, monstrous plant. I think that was RE2.

RNC, just noticed the Engieering quote on your sig.  Very nice.  U still working on the masters/phd (whichever it was)?  I'm a few weeks away from finally getting my P.Eng.

Video games eh.  Play Madden series exclusively.  Sometimes some NHL.  Played Diablo 2 when I was home this summer on my brother's PC.  It was pretty addicting.  I think that's when my wrist got really screwy.

I play shadowbane right now which is a MMO.  It's open PvP and there is PvE for leveling/ gear purposes.  It's come a long way since it's realease.  You can try it free , just google shadowbane trial.

Hey RNC :)

I love all the puzzles too, that what makes it great!! Don't get me wrong I love blowing up Zombies, but I like all the other stuff that comes with it.
You need a Million pestas to get the infinate rocket launcher, so I had to save all the treasures I found!! But its all worth it when you can blow up those chainsaw cocksuckers!! Once you complete the game you can do an Ada missions and other mission that are really hard, but I'm up for the chalenge.

I also love Sims new and old sims!! Very addicting!!

Galaga! My wife just bought a little '80s arcade emulator for$20 at Canadian Tire. It's just 5 inches square , with a joystick and 2 buttons, it plugs right into your TV. You can play Ms Pacman , Galaga , Pole Position , Mappy , and Xevious. Exactly like those old arcade games...80's flashback! 8)  :D

I love Age of Empires.  Still need to load up Empire Earth.  Lately I have been playing Zoo Tycoon.  Love to let the big animals escape and wreck havoc all over the place.  I always liked the Sims as well, but I haven't played in a while.

U still working on the masters/phd (whichever it was)?  I'm a few weeks away from finally getting my P.Eng.

Yup, I'm still working on my M.Eng. I'm working on the write up now, which is definitely the worse part for me. I loved working on the experimental portion of my project; much more than being stuck in my office spending my day typing. My goal is to submit a draft of my thesis for editing to my supervisor by the end of December, and find a job for January/February. I can then do the revisions in the evenings and/or on weekends. So I won't formally get my degree until sometime next year.

Congrats on almost achieving your P.Eng. Once you get that coveted stamp you'll really be able to put your ass on the line :P

Half Life 2 is also an awesome game.

I've played Half-Life and Counter Strike, but never HL2. I hear it's just amazing; with realistic physics. Recently I've been addicted to "playing" Google Earth. You know, trying to find historic landmarks and stuff.
