How cool is that!? 8) Reminds me of the wildlife that would amble through our yard growing up in Indiana! Can you hunt those things? :guns: If so, how does they taste

I love roos!

I went on a "bushwalk" in Oz and had the opportunity to take several photos of roos up close.  It was beautiful.

Thanks for posting the pics, Bailey.  I really need to visit your country again.

Cheers,
B.

Yeah, you can eat em.  We probably even export them lol.  Pretty sure you have to have a valid reason for hunting them..  Not too sure on hunting laws in Qld or NT, maybe another ozzie on here would know?  Would imagine they'd just have farms of them to eat, they taste better than crocodile anyway.  But not really sure if the crocodile was cooked properly lol.

Yeah the big ones are cool, definately one of my fave native oz animals.

We've looked after a couple of joeys that have been inside the mothers pouch ( thinking of that guy on seinfield talking to elaine about male kangaroos having pouch envy, the pez ep ) and been hit by semi's, the last one we had a broken tail, had a little bag he'd get into, then you hangit from the door knob lol, it was friendly as that one. Did have pics of him, will see if i can find them.. We only kept him until his tail got better, a family living a bit ouf of town take them all in, prolly to eat eh ET? lol.

Well there are unsubstantiated reports of roo and wallaby sightings every year in Canada and the US.
This post was typed in 3-B.  Three beers and it looks good, eh?

Roos are as native in the Great White North as Moose are Down Under!  :P

 :beeer:

And yes, roo tastes good.
I think alligator tastes better than corcodile. They are close, but gator is not as tough to chew. Again, perhaps it was how it was cooked, but I have had alligator many times.
mmMMMmmmm moooooose. They are quite tastey, too! LOL

Farm raised Roos are processed, frozen and exported all around the world.
The Hardees resturant chain (also known as Roy Rogers and also Carl's Jr.) was importing the meat and using a 50%/50% mix with beef in their burgers in the 1980's to help reduce the cholesterol in their burgers. When people found out the burgers were not all beef, they had a shit fit and demanded that Hardees use all beef.

How cool! The kids would love that! The deer and coons and bears are pretty booring to us by now.
What other critters show up in your yard?
Is it true that you have to watch out for Dingos getting yer babies?

LNMAO, dude, you do know that the peeps responsible for that used to live around the corner from us, right across the road from JR's sunset lol!  They went to the NT for a holiday (or to get rid of the baby) lol, who knows, won't be touching that with a 10, nae fuck it, 20 ft pole.

Sarah, we too used to keep horses, got a pic of ours, he was 26 in that pic tho somewhere on the forum, under furbabies perhpas? shrugs.  He was fuckn awesome, scratch his ear and he'd lean his head against you like a giant dog, animals are cool!

Hehhe, stereotypical Phil, i likes that. :)
Cotton had a good idea to post these pics under "what car do you drive" thread lol!

LMAO, tooheys is great man way better than fourex crap products (except for Cane Toad, that's 8.5% beer, and tasty to boot) , tooheys new is good, was right into the Tohheys Pils for a bit there, pretty strong.

But trust me, the wildlife is all god for the first week, until you realise you're living in mount isa.  No more even needs to be said on that one.. lol.

I think i've only ever seen a hedgehog a few times i think could have been a porcupine perhaps?  In New zealand they were pancake flat on a lot of the roads.  hehe, did chase a bunch of penguins, now they were cute, emperor penguins or something, little furry type buggers, really shy!

Yeah that's right, if you did want a miniature kangaroo rock wallabies are the way to go lol.or you could do the old elephant trick, just keep the kangaroo in a box... :O
