K, here's another:

Percentages of blood phenotypes:
36% type A
14% type B
44% type O
6% type AB

A person with type B blood can only receive a transfusion from someone who has type B or type O blood. What is the probability of their partner being an acceptable donor?

What is the probability of a random couple having type A and type B?

What is the probability of a random couple having type O blood?

Did somebody say BLOOD LETTING ?

Take two pints from each arm

These can all be determined using the subtraction rule and the binomial distribution:

a. 1 - (5/6)6 = 0.6651
b. 1 - (5/6)12 - 12(1/6)(5/6)11 = 0.6187
c. 1 - (5/6)18- 18(1/6)(5/6)17 - {18(17)/2}(1/6)(1/6)(5/6)16 = 0.5973

Logically, Part a is 1 minus the probability that all six of the dice are not 6s. Part b is 1 minus the probability that either all twelve dice are not 6s or that exactly one of the twelve dice is a 6; this latter probability is as written because there are 12 sequences for rolling a 6 on one die and a non-6 on the other 11 dice. Part c is 1 minus the probability of no 6s, exactly one 6, or exactly two 6s. There is one sequence of non-6s, 18 sequences of one 6 and seventeen non-6s, and (18)(17)/2 sequences of two 6s and sixteen non-6s.

MY BRAIN HURTS !!!

no man u dont use that, it not even binomial distribution (x-8)(x-3) lol = x2 -11x+24 thats binomail distribution

k well im  going for vacation for 2 weeks and my teachers gave me tons of work to do i wanna get as much done before as possible and i need help with this question...

As a result of its experience in WW2, Canada was reluctant, at first, to support the idea of collective security. Why did it like the idea of NATO?

PLEASE HELP :)

It sounded like tomato.

Honestly good luck.  That sounds like an essay question, and I'm better at video games.  Sorry to waste your time.

Did you forget to convert the percent to a decimal?  Oh well, you worked your way through it.

Wikipedia Baby!  I've got my Wikipedia trucker thinking hat on.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Collective_security

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nato

Compare and Contrast them for a bit and then form a reasonable opinion as to why it would be more beneficial for Canada to be a part of NATO then to embrace the concept of collective security.
