What car do you drive?

Just tried to find a pic on it, the only thing i could find was a service manual for an escort/mercury.  They're the same car?  The escort in the pic looks like a ford laser/telstar, must be differently named for the different markets.  But that's why i started this topic, to see what differences there are.  :beeer:

Just spent the day out at the outdoor go cart track, we're the only ones out there, been racing all day one of these:

One metre long, 23 kilos lol, just the perfect size to wind out to 70km/h on the straight, then hard into the corners, you can literally lie these suckas right over.  Perfect size for the go kart track, and infinitely more fun.  Twin disc brakes, and it even has powerband over a cerain rev range.  They've been big in Japan for years, you nkow how limited for space they are over there, and the best thing about it?  The starting price is only $350 retail, cheaper on ebay, and it comes with abuot 20 decal sheets lmao, for that unique look, and because they're so cheap there's no reason you and 4 mates can't all own one, throw it in the back of teh car and go racing anytime.  1l fuel tank, lasts about 40k, so that's about 20-30 laps of the go kart track for a $1.30, shakes head, awesome fun on a budget.  We've already started up a club, should keep me out of trouble :)

Will take the digital camera tomorrow (if we're not too busy work wise, but i'm sure we'll find time) , got an awesome vid of my mate trying to wheelstand around the corner and sliding off the back, getting dragged and then jumping back on it lmao, funniest thing i've seen in a good whiles.  Need to show some shots to give you an idea of how funny the size difference is, amazingly it's comfortable enough not to get a sore back, and we were out riding for most of the day.

Ok, got some photos of Joel and his girlfriend cruising around, only got video footage of me, and yes, they do hook along, but a man and his 6yr old son came out in their go kart, this kid was amazing to watch, 90km.h on the straights, fanging thru the s bends, lmao and the best thing about it was he was the perfect size for the go kart, so watching him exit the s bend onto the straight looked just like a little formula one car.  When i have a kid i'm definately getting him a go kart, no doubt.

Once i find somewhere to upload vids to i'll link it back just incase if anyone's interested.  Cheap and a great way to spend time with your kids/family members if you have access to a track.

We broke down and got the van to go with the Blazer.  No room in the old corolla for the baby, the dog and anything else.

So don't feel too bad MDS.  THere are more of us out there.
