Need good imaging s/ware
« on: Sep 18, 2005, 10:43 PM »
Hi guys, just need some s/ware like norton ghost that will allow me to make an image of my freshly installed laptop, with all configs such as wep etc, but needs to be bootable so when i format my hdd i can just pop the d/l dvd or whatever and have it install everything onto the "new" hdd.
Don't own a copy of ghost, but would that do what i want, you see the laptop does nay have a floopy disk drive, so it would have to make a bootable recovery cd.

Like a recovery cd if you buy a dell or siilarly branded computer.
If you don't know what i mean, just ask and i'll clarify it for you..
Cheers in advance...

Bailey , i just noticed your from the land of oz !
Interestingly ( to a boring fart like my anyway !) Norton Ghost is the only Norton product i would use , it's really good, the reason is because it's not a Norton product in that they bought out the company that originally made it , they were based in , why in the land of oz of course :-)

Aye, symantec bought out power quest, every other symanetec product such as Norton anti-virus and internet scurity has way too much overhead for a pc run everyday.. I didn't know powerquesst were aussie, learn something new everyday eh?
