Google Ads ??
« on: Jul 08, 2004, 04:07 PM »
Some of you may have noticed the google ad on the main page, I'm going to be encorporating them into the site, as unnoticable as possible, so they won't hinder your experience in any way.

You ask, why I am doing this?

Well, I hate ads as much as the next guy, but of any ads, I find the google ones the least annoying, and not bothersome at all, and running a site isn't free, especially when you want to have lots of fun giveaways & contests.

I promise every cent made from the google ads, will be put back into buying prizes/tpb merchandise to give away!!

Since you guys & gals are what keeps this site going, why not earn something for the time you've spent posting & visiting :)

I'm not asking you to click them, you can ignore them if you like, but if you feel we've done a good job with this website & forums, and would like to see more cool things like the trivia game going on right now, it doesn't hurt to click once in a while :P

once again though, it's your choice.

thanks for visiting & keeping this site going everyone!

Update:

Since only having these ads on the site for a day & a bit, I've already generated $2.00 of revenue!!

Good idea CatDog.  Ads suck but when you are increasing your bandwidth you need some compensation hehehe.

just to update, google ads have brought in $50.75 - $26.62 = $24.13 + $20 donated = $44.13

I was thinking of maybe starting another trivia game instead of the ultra hard idea I was toying around with, for now at least. Definately will have enough to give out a hoodie as a prize this time around. Thanks everyone for clicking the banners now & then, even 1 click helps a lot, as you can well imagine by the money accumulating.
