Seem to have some problems pm'ing

It says " cant find the org member" when i try to send

and when i look up dirty in the members list it says that theres noone with that name...
"Fuck, fuck, fuck, / Mother, mother fuck, / Mother, mother fuck, fuck / Mother fuck, mother fuck, / Noich noich noich, / 1, 2, 1, 2, 3, 4, / Noich, noich noich / Smokin' weed, smokin' wizz, / Doin' coke, drinkin' beers, / Drinkin' beers, beers, beers, / Rollin' fattys, smokin' blunts, / Who smokes the blunts? / We smoke the blunts."

Yeah Djet I had the same problem when tried to send DD a PM, when you click on the IM icon it puts "Dirty Dancin'" in the send line. I had to take out the quotation (" ") marks and just send it to Dirty Dancin' After doing that it worked just fine. I just clicked on your IM and it said "Djet" in the to box. So maybe cat-dog or someone can take out the quotes or make it accept then for sending. I should have said something about this earlier but when I sent my PM to DD, I thought I must have done something wrong.

EDIT: Ok I just sent cottonelle lover  a pm and it worked fine even with the quotes. I do not know why you have to do that to Dirty Dancin' but could it be because of the apostrophe at the end of Dancin' followed by the quotation marks ? Just a guess, but it does figure that we have to do something special for a gal from "Texas" Tee Hee. Ok Jen I know you are originally from Oklahoma but as far as I am concerned same thing

Oooooh, when I get more awake you are so gonna get it!!!!!! PM this, David B_Bubbles!!!! *points at posterior*

Okay, okay only joking...but I will be searching Google later for Oregon jokes.  :D

The new and improved .ORG does not like my '.  I figured that out whilst logging in for the first time after the renovations but neglected to mention it.

See Dave, told ya I'd be back with the Oregon jokes...I didn't say any of them would be funny...

You Know You Live In Oregon If...

* You use the words 'sun breaks' and know what it means.

* You know more than 10 words to describe a cup of coffee.

* You know more people who own boats than air conditioners.

* You obey all traffic laws except keep right and left passing.

* You only honk your horn if collision is imminent and never for anything else.

* In the winter, you go to work in the dark, come home in the dark, and only have an 8 hour day.

* You consider "etiquette" a foreign word.

* You used to live somewhere else but won't admit it publicly.

* You've ever ordered a half caff/decaf, nonfat mocha grande with sugar-free cranberry whip (or you know what it is).

* The bride and groom registered at REI. (sport supply store)

* You are amazed at an accurate weather forecast.

* If someone ran your car off the highway, you might drown.

* Every day is casual Friday.

Just found out about the ' error.. Apparently it's fixed in the next version of the software, but unfortunately they couldn't give me a timeframe on when it would be released.

So if anyone needs/wants their usernames changed in the meantime, let me know.

OK , I'm finally likeing the new look!
I have noticed that when I preview a post before submiting it , the "quote colour" and smilies don't show up like they did on the old style board. Will this be something that can be fixed ? I really like to see exactly what a post will look like before I commit it to the board.

I'm a new member but I used to read the site all the time. I really like this brighter version. Nice and plain and simple, easy to use and easy to read. Awesome!! Hatta-go!

Not bad. I'll have to click on everything and experiment with all the icon features before I can feel at home with it. Everything is so fresh and clear. It's like someone washed all the nicotine and pot resin stains off the trailer walls and windows !

I miss the panelling, but I guess I'll get used to it.  I like all the options above the post box and right now I've settled into the pot leaf theme..green is my favorite colour. :D

You should still be seeing panelling unless you're using a resolution of 800x600 maybe.

Yup, you're right...my bad. :)

Another difference that I have noticed is that on the old forum , you could sort the memberlist ascending or decending in the categorys of joined date , total posts ,top posters , username ,and even location. I like to browswe the userlists , but there are so many unknown members there , that unless you're searching for a particular user by name , it's not that usefull. I bet there's a way to resort the list , and FF64 will point it out to me ....

Actually you can still do that you just have to click the words at the top of the list

you can choose from

Status Username Email Website ICQ AIM YIM MSN Position Date Registered  Posts

but cant sort by location anymore :(

here it is sorted by post count for example

http://www.trailerparkboys.org/forums/index.php?action=mlist;sort=posts;start=0

and theres also a nice stats page

http://www.trailerparkboys.org/forums/index.php?action=stats

OMG!! The chat program on these forums is kick ass! I really think we should all go on it at a planned time. Maybe every Sunday? Most people dont have work on Sundays and people in school (Like me) dont have school.

It's is really cool. It's nice.

I am really liking the new format too! My only suggestion would be to have a new window open when you ckick on the "Latest Forum Posts" on the home page. The old system did that, but now it tries to open the entire forums page in that tiny little window.

Yeah.. that's temporary.. This new software uses different methods for displaying news.. I've got to either figure out how to have the posts show up in a new window, or find a different way to display things. What is there currently is the closest I could get to looking like what it was. It's on my todo list :)

Quote
On the back end, can't you just add the target_blank tag to open the forums in a new window? Although I get the feeling that you would have done that if possible.

For end users, you can bookmark http://www.trailerparkboys.org/forum.php and your browser will display only the latest posts link. click one and the forums will be in a full window.

Homepage is now opening links in a new window, and I've moved it up to the most recent 20 posts instead of 10.

Cheers! :)
