It was 1.169 here in Brockville this morning.  One stupid gas station still had the sign out front with 96.3 on it and I went to gas up and saw the prices on the pumps.  Slowed down, and sped up.  I'll push the Blazer before I pay 80$ for a fill up.

Our gas is the price per litre. Your prices are still cheaper than ours hun. :wink: We would be paying over $4 a gallon. Right now where I live, the CHEAPEST place is $1.07.9 :shock:  Soon we'll all have to invest in a horse! :lol:

Orillia is still at $0.98.8 cents so I just got back from filling the car up. The line up's were terrible but you just know when I go back out in a hour or so it will be at $1.20:(....at least the goverment is getting rich with the gas taxes :evil:

The radio here said Woodstock gas prices jumped between $1.20 and $1.30 per litre!!

$1.20/ltr X 3.78(litres per gallon)=$4.53 CDN /  1.18723 (current exchange rate) = $3.82 US per gallon

I filled up yesterday to beat the announced upcoming price increases. Paid $2.57 a U.S. gallon (for ole sour tasting regular) so I feel lucky. If I remember my math right there is approx. 3.78 litres per U.S. gallon.

Whoopsie  :oops:  Tank and I posted at the same time and beat ole me to the punch  8)  Well at least I did remember that there are 3.78 litres per Gallon. That was right off the top of my head a 8 o'clock in the morning PDT  :)

In North Carolina the prices have been around $1.45 all summer, that is until Hurricaine Katrina- which may have missed us for the most part but gave a bloody good blow to our supply lines which come from the south, some stations are totally dry already.  You could hand them gold dubloons and it wouldn't matter.  Welcome to the late 1970's.

I've heard about the damage and I feel horrible about all thats happened to new orleans but how do we really know this happened...the damage to the oil lines.  Could be total bullshit to raise the prices.

I'm not sure but I'm fairly certain that the news doens't always report the truth.

PS-I heard that the casinos where being looted and they had no place to but the theives so the cops didnt do shit.

That being said...how do you feel about looting a casino ?  Is it wrong, absolutly wrong or justified since they steal from so many of us.

Mother Fucking Dirty Dancing knew it was a different scale on gallon vs litre...she was just figuring in the whole free health care thing...considering we pay out the ass for insurance that still sucks....but, I could not fathom paying 4 bucks and more a gallon...gsus! I got cats to feed....*hugs*

On city tv at noon they were talking to this guy from PETRO Canada and they asked him why if Canada , who is a very healthy oil producing country , why are we affected by the hurricane down south. The guy gave some story about all country's are tied together in the markets and one incident affects everyone. I think it's a bunch of B.S. and the goverment are just loving it seeing all this extra tax money rolling in. Tommorow is no gas thursday, I filled up today so I didn't have to tommorow.
