Just a Fun game we do on a dutch dvd forum and its been going on for a while now, why not try it here:)

Ill post a pic of a movie/tvseries.. and the one who geusses it posts the next pic..
if you ain't got a pic i can keep them commin for a while ...

you can always upload pics at http://www.imageshack.us/

winner gets a pack of smokes and a peperoni


EDIT: MAybe one rule? If the there isnt a new pic posted or a hint givin within the .. (6) hours someone else can post? (thats how we do it on the dutch forum to keep paste..)

all good for me but i tought 1section would be enough ?

just ask for hints if it takes too long too be geussed? (ill post more then one pic automaticly if noone knows it here by that pic)

Just a suggeustion maybe will be easier that way too keep track of it no?
or a different topic for black and white movies?

Yeah futurama was a easy one but Zoidberg is the funniest character ever. I mean who could think of a character thats a giant lobster thing thats a doctor.

The little symbols on the top of the pic had me guessing, I'm glad someone got the problem solved.

Ben's pic (help me help me) is from the classic "The Fly"

The channel that brought us Rocketship 7 WBEN used to have fright night on Fridays after the Irv Weinstein news. I ate this stuff up as a kid & loved to stay up & watch the b/w horror flicks like dracula, wolfman/werewolf  & of course the big guy Frankenstein.

EDIT, not WBEN & a little more from Jeff

 WKBW-TV, Channel 7, Buffalo, N.Y. and naturally one of my 'strongest' memories of this tv station was the (early) 1960s childhood favourite Rocketship 7 hosted by Dave Thomas and his two colourful (and humourous) aides Promo the Robot and Mr. (Biff) Beeper.

I can't adequately express with mere words just what an amazing stroke-of-luck (and delight) it was to stumble upon your interesting website. I'm one of the 'original' viewers who started watching Rocketship 7 from the outset in 1962 Mondays thru Fridays at 7:30 a.m. E.S.T.. I still vividly remember when Promo the Robot made his initial bow on the show while Dave Thomas was monitoring the 'friendly' robot's clanking and lumbering approach on the 'space console' tv monitor.

The 'best' thing I liked about Rocketship 7 (apart from the unforgettable hosts) was the space adventure cartoon Colonel Bleep which I would later learn was actually produced in 1957 and in 'full' colour. I wish this enjoyable (and now obscure) cartoon tv series would be made available on DVD.

Interestingly since Rocketship 7 finished at 8:55 a.m. E.S.T. I've probably mercifully long forgotten just how many times I was nearly late for school just so I could catch as much of the show as possible.

As the 1960s dawned to a close I had long 'outgrown' this juvenile-premised program putting it far behind me and it's interesting to know that Rocketship 7 actually lasted for a whopping 16 years finally going off the air as late as 1978. I wonder if there was some sort of fitting farewell celebration for the 'last' show on a job well done?

Unfortunately because Rocketship 7 was probably done 'live' no taped records of the program probably survive and apart from a few publicity stills this 'classic' morning tv show is now most likely little more than 'dim' and 'fading' memory for many of its steadfast viewers whose numbers have probably deminished with each passing year.

Sometimes I think just how marvellous it would be to turn on the tv set some weekday morning at 7:30 a.m. E.S.T. and there would be the 'familiar' and 'stirring' Rocketship 7 signature theme music and as the studio lights once again illuminate the darkened spaceship interior standing set a smiling Dave Thomas positioned behind the 'space control' monitor once again commences with his friendly 'Good Morning' and 'Welcome everybody to today's edition of Rocketship 7.'

How nice it would be to revisit lamented old 'friends' and this wonderful tv classic again!
