Have you tried Melatonin? It's the hormone responsible for sleep. I'm not sure what the legality is right now , but check at a good vitamine store , sometimes it's under the counter. My sister used to just pick it up in Seattle . It's not a drug , so there is no hangover , no matter how short you end up sleeping. You take it 15-20 minutes before you to go to bed , and it triggers the body to sleep . GREAT STUFF! My Mom , Sister and I used to use it (they still might , but I don't need to any more) . The grey area quasi legality of the stuff is just a stupid Health Canada misunderstanding , which may or may not have been resolved.
(just googled it)
"To date, melatonin can be purchased freely in the U.S.A. but has not yet been approved by the Canadian Food and Drug. And, while it is illegal for stores to sell it in Canada, there seems to be no law against bringing it in from the States."
Besides being great for resetting ones internal clock , to fight jet lag , it appears to have some protection against certain forms of cancer.
