Has anybody had gall stones before? If so, what are the symptoms? I've been experiencing a sharp pain in my upper right abdomen just near the bottom of my rib cage, it lasts a minute or so. When it first comes on, it takes my breath away. I tend to over-react whenever I have strange pains, so it's probably not gall stones, but I'd still like to hear about other symptoms.

Gave blood today as Canadian Blood Services keep calling me almost every week.  They like my O neg blood too much.  Now I'm feeling tired light headed and a wee bit nauseas.  I hope it passes soon. It's no fun feeling yucky by yourself.

I won't detail the laundry list of health issues that has led me to this point, but at age 34, I'm about to embark on my first colonoscopy adventure. The first colonoscopy usually doesn't take place until age 50. Age 40 if your family has a history of colon cancer, which mine does not. Yippee. :butt:

Good on you for donating blood, J. I'm squeamish around needles.

I have been off work for three days now.  I spent most of the time flat on my  back, in bed.  I had a fever , had the chills, a bit of a headache and felt so weak, I kept having to lie down again! I went to my Dr's today and he said I have a stomach flu virus, and to stay home and rest.  Thank God for T3's! I can go back to work on Sunday.

Sybil Fawlty: Don't shout at me, I've had a difficult morning.
Basil Fawlty: Oh dear, what happened? Did you get entangled in the eiderdown again? Not enough cream in your eclair? Hmm? Or did you have to talk to all your friends for so long that you didn't have time to perm your ears?

Aww, thanks guys!  I wish it were that easy.  Didn't get a very restful sleep last night.  I kept waking up when I took a deep breath and had a sharp pain in my lung (?).  So early this morning I took another couple Tylenol 3s and that really helped!  I hope I don't get addicted to them. :drugged: And I was a mass of sweat.  But give me time, and I will be better.  I promise!
