I realize this is from Eps 1, but I just got around to writing down the words to the latest JROC joint that played over the credits. Ha, Hilarious:............

Yeah, I was not 100 % sure about s5 e1, but I did enjoy last night's episode. When Ricky threw that dryer out through the door, I was howling.   Still, there is a different feel to this year, a very slight shift, which I can't put  my finger on.  Maybe it's the flappy birds hanging out, they are distraculating me!

Julian sneaking into Terry and Dennis' place with Cory and Trevor and he was still carrying his rum n coke, ice jingling and shit.....my fuck, I was just shakin' my head when I seen that...classic.

Then when they all come barrellin' out of the house and Trevor comes running across the street with his hand still up....hilarious.

Beav I thought the glass of R&C was funny because they made such a big deal about not saying anything so that Terry and Dennis wouldn't know who it was but there's Julian with the ever present drink in hand...DUH!

I laughed at Cory running across the street with the bag of hash in one hand and the other hand up in the air...funny!

<== not lookin' at Beav's gut.
My God...what a drunk horror show!

I found that the last two episodes are very similar to the first season..Which was my favorite season, I wasen't too fond of the first episode this year, but it was probably because I was too excited to see it. But it is definately like the first season...I hope it stays like that!
I cracked up at a couple parts of this episode, the dryer scene...Bubble's line "the flappy bird brothers" referring to Terry and Dennis, and at the end, when the gut guy gets nailed with a bottle in the gut, and lets out that big-ass burp....Fhak, that was funny! I guess Trinity is a bottle kid now.

Yeah I think they would have recognized the television crew too.  I doubt they know too many people being followed around with cameras and mics.  Those flappy bird brothers are DUUUUUUMb though.

Well what can I say? I enjoyed the 2nd ep more than the first. Bubbles seemed to be back in his original character, which I enjoy. The only problem I'm having is that the eps are just too chaotic. I really don't feel any kind of flow or continuity. Man I hope it's me. I have to admit that Sundays are no longer held sacred. If I miss an ep, so be it. God, I don't want to lose the boys. Man now see that, I'm starting to cry. What's wrong with me? Help me, I've lost my TPB's woody. Where's the Cialis? Zasu

I'm still so impressed with that episode, it was hilarious, well paced, and such a tease for next week!

True bigben, however I don't think a 'worst' episode exists for me, only a least favourite which means instead of wanting to watch it 5 times in a row, I only want to watch it 4 times.

i think Ray is fucked in the head this season.  He doesn't seem like himself.  I guess he's more interested in the VLT's and shit.  Those greasy machines have been known to ruin a life or two.

I watched the first and second episode together and I am sorry that I said the first was horrible.  They were better together, and like every episode, the more you watch, the better it gets.

More Phil, less Flappy Bird Brothers.

Yeah, I still think it's down to us all starving for new stuff, that the initial half hour was only disappointing due to the half hour episode going by too fast

I think with Ray there is the question of how MC can pull of his serious issues in a funny forum, there is the danger of Ray becoming too serious, too dramatic. Honestly, I loved the old Ray making jiffy wine in a barrel, this Ray hits a little to close to home and creeps me out. I mean Julian is a drunk, but it is funny, Ricky is a stoner and I know people who talk and act like that and it is funny in real life and funny on TV. I am sorry if that sounds bad but it, for me it is true. Ray is not funny, too serious so far this season...
Though I could be grossly mistaken.

I'm a huge Ray fan, and I honestly don't feel like his character has changed. I can still see the Ray from season 1 & 2 in this season opening a can of Jiffy Wine.

=; < I just wanted to use a smilie. lol

Give Ray a chance - we're only 2 ep's into the season.  There is LOTS of time for him "lighten up" so to speak lol!  FWIW, I don't think he's changed that much this season.  He was kind of serious in prior seasons - for example - the ep where he was explaining how he was a "Calvin" lol!

The calvin thing is a laugh and I worked that into my thesis!!! I just love Ray, and all I can think of is when Ricky is kicked out of the park and it boarders on sad and not funny. It was in danger of being a real dramatic moment and moving away from funny comedy/drama. The thing is can vlt's be a funny thing? Esp. in light of the serious nature that has developed around the topic? Will it become a sounding board or a funny thing? I know I am speculating (sp?) a bit, well more than a bit, that will Ray come off as too serious. Personal note, the Ray last weekend was funny but kinda pissed me off...ah well...starved for the next episode and I cannot wait to see how the producers develop the topic.
Please don't think I am anti-Ray 'cause he is my all time fav character!!

Ray has been and continues to be spot-on. And Barrie Dunn ain't so bad either . . I think he brings a lot of depth and experience to the crafting of TPB.

Maybe I've talked this way before, but I believe we are spoiled by the classic greatness of this show . . we expect every moment to be golden . .

Nothing lasts forever. I'm savouring every episode . .and this new season is five-stars, according to me, thus far.

Big Cheers!

Another thing I love about this show is the face that Ricky makes after Ray yells at him for having the trailer shot up and having all the hash in the house; I love how Ricky turns around to make this face (can't do it to his father's face), the wide eyes, 'can you believe he said that to me?' kind of look. How many of us have made this face at one time or another behind a parent's back? (Especially if you have your buddies in the house)
