I didn't find it too bad but last season didn't start all that fast either.

I'm in the states.  Do you think this episode will be up for download soon?  I have the first three dvd's and the fourth should be here next week.  Hopefully tomorrow.  I hate international mail.

Anyway, I can't wait to see the premiere.  I hope it gets online soon.

Give it an hour or so and check some popular torrent sites, or Ares (www.ares.org).

I'm going to give all my thoughts on the episode after I give it another watch. But I will say that I am pleased. It's back to normal, and I'm sure going to be a really funny season! First episode was really good! I won't say I laughed an entire lot, but I truly did think that episode was better than season 4, and I wish those that don't like it would explain themselves, I am interested to know why not.

Every other season opener had me in stitches.  I can't remember one laugh out loud scene in this one.  It's like a trailer park version of Desparate Housewives

Although it wasnt the most exciting episode, it still left me wanting to see more and know what happens next.  I think too much time was spent in terry and dennis' house and in jail.

the guys that play terry and dennis are shit actors too

I thought the episode was great, it had lots of funny stuff, but also explained some of what happened.  I loved the whole jail scene, i thought that was hilarius.  It was good seeing cyrus again, and i wonder if those two brothers will be in it any more.  It was funny how the cop looked like george green but wasnt.  ITs almost as if he is trying to be like him.  And the roc pile coming in and "pimping up" the girls Trevor and cory were talking to, and they looked sad.  From what i gathered, lucy sarah and barb screwed cory trevor ricky julian and bubs.  Bitches, but how dumb is cory and trevor.  I loved the feel of the episode. awsome stuff!!

That was a great episode, funny and not off-the-wall stupid.  Watch all the people who jumped on the band wagon during season 4 to come and say it was a bad episode because it didn't have a mountain lion or a stupid puppet.

Favourite part was probably them all telling each other to fuck off.  And it is good to see Julian actually have a personallity and not just the straight man.

I don't think it needs a mountain lion to be funny, but a few jokes would be good.  It looks like they are straying away from the docu style except with a few interviews thrown in to make it look like one.  Gonna have to give it a few weeks.  It started out like a show that wanted to stretch out the storyline as far as they could.

Before I read anyone else's posts...

*yawn*  I really really really REALLY hate to say it, but it was not the best.  A few hilarious parts, but it felt like post-production of the opener was thrown together.

I hope it gets a better "hook" next week :(

I liked it when they were leaving to go to the dealers house and the limo driver was taking a piss to, there were a ton of little things happening in the background,  I taped it so i'll watch it again later with the closed caption on.

The thing with TPB is that the episodes always seem to get better with time,  am I not right?

Yes, you are right, it's like getting to the top of a roller coaster; the first few hundred feet suck

edit:

NOT saying the season premiere totally sucked, I just found it lacking in "something".  I will have a think and probably wake up at 3 in the morning like ... That's it! and log on and explain what it was I thought...

I think there were too many commercials which led to less show time. I did not have a stopwatch, but it seemed shorter. I fucken hate Cyrus.

One thing that bugged me was that SCase didn't show all the various TPB teaser commercials like I think they should have, they even repeated one.  Maybe next week?  I know I never saw them all.

Still, I can hardly wait until next week...ack, it's like a soap, I'm ADDICTED!  LOL

I totally agree that episodes seem to get better with time, but I think that this episode was meant to be an expository episode anyway. It takes time to explain all the events that have occurred while the Boys were in jail. If tons of crazy stuff just started happening without any kind of explaination, would it make the show any better? I'm sure in relation to the rest of the season, this show had to be this way...By the way I thought is was hilarious when Lahey referred to Julian as the guy in the sexy black t-shirt!

Edit: P_S, I've been out of school for a little while as well, I had to look expository up in the dictionary to make sure I was using it right!

brb...looking up "expository"...

LOL!  No, really, school was eons ago

This is true, Melba, I still think "something" was missing, tho.

Maybe I can't get used to a sober Lahey??
