I'm so glad everybody's furbabies are safe.
It's not a mullet. Cappy's just getting too skinny for his hair.

Some of you may have been keeping up with my trials and tribulations on Facebook regarding the rocky relationship between my new kitty and older kitty (Catalina.) I know that situation will sort itself out with time, but the other big issue...the new little girl needs a name.

Here's what we know...her name at the animal shelter was Jill. (My husband's cousins name is Jill. We always avoid family names when naming pets.)

DavidB and Ms Vee like the name Joy. Fans of My Name Is Earl will see the humor. I love the idea, but again...Joy is the name of my husband's Mom.

Any suggestions?

P.S. I just bathed a cat for the first time in my entire life. I don't recommend it.

What about Rocky Belleboa, or just Rocky, cause she's a scrapper?  Or Pepper, because of her coloring.

I'll bet Catalina would have some choice names for her.  You could always use one of Bubbles cats' names like Snapjacks.

My own first cat was named Pepper.  I had her for 12 years.
I googled and found some Cat name sites that might help you.

http://petrix.com/catnames/

http://www.cat-names.us/

http://www.kittynames.com/

The list is endless.

Ok every time I read Catalina I want to suggest..Ranch, Thousand Islands or Balsamic Vinegar....  sorry!  Yeah, I've been trying to think of  names but with no success. I've only had two cats at different times in my life and they were named "Spot" and "Satan".   8-[
I don't suppose you can name a female cat "shitrock" huh? ......ok I"ll try to settle down and think of some serious names for you.....  :)

Yuppers, it rhymes like a part of female anatomy. But it was the wrong word.

You guys and gals are a riot. I forgot to mention it needs to be a name I won't be embarrassed to have yelled out at the vet.  :P

Thanks for the funny and serious suggestions. I took none of them, even though some of them were really great.

I'd been calling the kitten Izzy initially. The husband didn't like it, didn't know it was short for Isabel, Isabelle, or Isabella and for some reason, I didn't think about explaining it to him, so we ruled out Izzy for a while and went with Pheebs instead. No, not Phoebe. Pheeb(s) is a really funny joke only those who have seen an obscure movie called Guest House Paradiso would understand. Oh man, I do go on. Let me cut to the chase. Last night, I yelled out Isabel during a curtain climbing event. A light bulb went off over the husband's head. The end.

I could hear you yelling out Randy at the vet's office.  Randy.  Randy. Randy.  Randy.

Don't use up all your baby names on cats.

I think boy cats would be WAY easier to name. Randy and Lahey. The Lahey cat would meow every time the Randy cat started to meow.
