Need to open that window and invite some gamblers over.  Cat-Squirrel fights are a big draw.

Hmmm ... I COULD use some extra cash for the holidays ;).  Nah - it was more fun watchin him freak out over the squirrel and I didn't have to pay any vet bills after it either ;).

Such pretty babies Evangeline!!

This morning when I left for work, I noticed a nasty surprise near the side of the road, the cat belonging to the neighbours across the street had been hit & had died. These neighbours make us so angry because this is about the 5th or 6th cat that they have had that has been killed by being run over; they keep getting animals but do not take care of them properly. My AWOL cat Toby originally lived with that family, but when we started feeding him & paying attention to him on the street, he chose to live with us; because they had always let Toby out to use the washroom, that's what he was used to & the only reason why we let him go outside. Bottom line: if you can keep your kitties indoors, please do!

Werd to that Melba!  Both our guys are inside kitty's.  Couldn't stand that thought of letting them out and them not coming back.  I back onto a ravine that has creek running through it and I've seen some pretty scary animals - like foxes - down there.  Here's to hopin' Toby finds his way home one day soon Melba :).

Well I was driving home tonight and a cat ran under my truck.  It went thump but was still alive and ran off.  8 lives left I guess.  Two kids that were walking said the little bugger ran off, but "he's gonna feel that for a while".

Nothing I could do since it was long gone before I even stopped.

I showed that cat video to my oldest Nephew and he couldn't breathe he was laughing so hard.
Again Angie again ! he would say.

Poor SMeG. Some kitties are "free range kitties" and do not listen to their fur parents. :x At least you would have helped if the kitty needed it.
You might be sexy Julian....but you can't teach me anything about liquor....

my kitties are outdoor trained...i have this thing with litter boxes and don't care for them in the house much....i do keep pne for emergency in the basement when its really cold and storming in case they need it but actually never use it i think they'd wait to do the job how they are used to
as far as getting hit i know its a possibility but i doubt it would be my male cat i think he's too lazy to cross the road one day i thought i'd watch to see what he did outside cause he'd leave for hours...lol he'd make it to the spruce trees in my back yard go under and sleep....and come out to come eat...lol what a cat and speaking of here he is in his odd ways of sleeping

Our sweet little guinea pig, Cracker, left us yesterday.  I found him dead in his cage.  He had lived about 4 !/2 years, so I guess that was a good life for him.  My son is still very bummed out, he miss his pet. He feels bad that he didn't notice Cracker lying still in his cage for many hours, as the guinea pig was stone cold.  But it was in the living room, which we seldom use ( it's cold in there, and we spend most of the time in the family room, on the other side of the house, which has a gas fireplace). The living room fireplace keeps going out, needs a part to fix it.
Anyway, RIP my little Cracker Boy!

Sorry to hear about Cracker :(.  Hope you're son's not too hard on himself - I can understand why he'd feel that way even though it's not warranted.

My kitties have a new place to sleep, it's in a box on a chair in the family room.  Couldn't resist taking some pictures.

The first three are of Charlie and Cielto curled up together.
The last picture is one of Chip the dog sleeping right near by on the floor in front of the fire-place.
